lol weezl its no big deal really-we did it backwards. When we got together we were already living together and so lived together for a couple of years. For a variety of reasons (i.e me going to live in Venice) we couldnt move back in together so hopefully now one the post grad is done we can be back to normal!!
For things like the butter and pate what are people using for storage??

The ones in grey are still being updated by the lovely Weezl
Meals with potatoes - a note from Weezl:
In the spirit of adding variety, you can either make them into wedges or add an oil and vinegar dressing each time, or alternatively you could use some of shanks' mayo (I'm guessing you'll have to do this quite a bit shanks cos you've made loads!) in any case all I ask is that you use approx 25ml per person per meal of oil to coat the potatoes whether you're roasting or dressing them0 -
arty I've put the nut butter in glass jars.
The apple curd, houmous and bean pate are in 'chinese takeaway' containers. Mainly because I'm far to messy to get the stuff in the 'tiny' hole at the top of a jar!0 -
hmmm.......i may need more storage thingies thenxxxxIn art as in love, instinct is enough

Do you have empty marg tubs? They'd work as well. I just couldn't find the lids for mine...I'm so organised!0

Great minds, Weezl - that's my next task, and I will edit the list post to show my findings, lol. Hark at me making myself sound all professional :rotfl:Actually, I think that might well be behind my sudden spurt of organising mania - I must be missing work
Arty, all my spreads are in glass jars except houmus which is in tupperware container. No rhyme or reason to it, I'm afraid, just what I happened to pull out of the cupboard this morning. Lunchtime pate is also in a plastic container, cos that went straight in the freezer as soon as it was cooled.
BTW, I am pleased to report that I have managed to do the morning's batch cooking without doing anything particularly amusing or having to redecorate the kitchenThe kettle did explode first thing, though, just to keep me on my toes, but that definitely wasn't my fault, it was rather elderly and we expected it to go at any moment.

I was wondering about baking the carrot cake in a roasting tin. It is one I use for tray bakes. is about 14 inches by 12 inches. Do you think that is too large for the amount of ingredients in the recipe?business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Afternoon!
After making a not-at-all-frugal guinness and chocolate cake I have made a 1/2 batch of the no knead bread and the soup is now cooking away. I popped out to get bacon after I realised the potatoes we had would probably have killed someone, sealed in a plastic bag in the dark for a while they were a leeetle mouldy, eww!
Will be back later with more feedback! xGod is good, all the time
