Sami, I remember ages ago you posted a link for SM for a online discount clothes shop, it had loads of discount "designer" stuff, can you remember what it was? I cant, been racking my (few) brains this morning!

  • Bruno - Savvy used to recommend a toddler book...does anybody know what it was or where Savvy can be found these days?

Edit - and AF, before she insisted on coming to see you, this HV was a 'nice HV who specialises in the kind sleep programme' ;)

I don't know about savvy but I liked the guy who writes secrets of happy children, Steve Biddulph, all his books are fab and really helped me when I was Toddler taming (also heard good things about Toddler Taming, but havent read myself). I think its Steve Biddulph who wrote the one about Raising Boys, which might give Bruno an excuse to buy it as opposed to an outright Help book.

How many bottles does she have during the day AF?

Benjamin is taking 2 x 240ml bottles for his CM, one in the morning and one in the afternoon and he practically drains them. At the VERY best we can get him to drink 180ml at home, most of the time it is closer to 120ml
He also sleeps for ages with CM! He slept for 1 hour 15 mins yesterday morning and 1 hour 45 mins yesterday afternoon! I am lucky if I can get him to do 45 mins for each nap!!!

((HUGS)) Keely - I keep dyralyte in the house for when one of us is poorly, dehydration is evil xx

She is having two bottles of 200ml during the day and another this size after her bath (which she usually falls asleep one).

Guidelines (for what of a better word) on the formula box and all other material says they should be having 3 x 200ml at this stage. She is doing this, but then going on to have more during the night.

I was trying to keep her to just the 2 x 200ml bottles during the day so that she has an appetite for food, as she was still so keen on milk.

Maybe i am getting that wrong too?

    Hello all :)

OT went well this morning, we are getting a triangle seat and a bath seat and I have been told to feed Dylan wotsits !!!
Well, not quite, but she said as its easy melted to help him associate putting things in his mouth with food, its an easy one to start him on and there is less fear of choking. So we are to start that and we are also getting a referral to the speech therapist because he has so little interest in food to get some ideas on what might help. To be honest, I would rather let him get on with it in his own time, but apparently at 7 months he should be eating better than he is. Oh well, just one more appt to add to the list !!

Hope you are all well, havent had time to catch up
    ((hugs)) to all

just before I go & catch up & then forget

EM - Specsavers Question - I had a 'free contact lense' trial in cardiff back in 2005, I wore lenses til 2008 when I had another eye test in another SS branch. Haven't had lenses since and am probably due another eye test soon - will go to another branch up here & would like another free trial. would they do it? should I play dumb & say I've not been to SS before or can they check?

Just want to get the free trial so I can see what lenses I need then order them cheaper online!

    thanks xx

  • MM - Organix do "carot sticks" which are the same consistency as Wotsits, but without the salt - might be worth giving them a try? They do stain like anything though :(
