Sorry I missed your DS's birthday yesterday, not sure how I missed the post? Hope he had a fab day xxx
Hope everyone is ok? not suffering too much with the snow?
OH left aberdeen at 3pm, he was supposed to leave at 12 but someone has crashed their car on one of the main roads back and it was closed, the road is still closed now but he is going to try and find an alternative route! he is expecting another 6-7 hours of travelling to get home rather than the usual 4.
My SIL has taken the children out sledging so I am child free and chillling!
Oh your poor OH, I am worried enough about mine coming home and he is 30 minutes away  I think it's even colder here today and we've had a few snow flurries but not much. Me and DS2 went for a walk across the park next to his preschool when he finished after lunch and it was so beautiful, all that lovely white snow and then we got into the car and on the horrible slippy roads all the way home.
Glad the book thingie worked ok, I guess there's nothing stopping anyone signing up as their mum/daughter etc and getting a different one delivered to another address:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Gemma - Wow! I've made nowhere near that many - wonder if I can work it out, a dozen challenges on here, a dozen SOS cards, a few family birthdays, & Christmas cards? I need to work faster & actually make rather than think about making them - I can say though, that I've got better.
Mary-op & flourgirl - tea was lovely, my butcher sells a lamb shank and I do it in the slow cooker with onion, carrots, potato, celery if I've got it, tin of tomatoes, and a dollop of mint sauce which helps diffuse the fat.
Jazabelle - Your cards are super.
Rainmac - belated 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' to your little one hope he had a brilliant day.
Ooohhh, your tea sounds delicious!!! I got a slow cooker for Christmas, just a cheapie one but I haven't used it yet. Do you have any more tried and tested recipes to get me started please? I've wanted one for ages but now I have one, I'm nervous about using it :wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

I would never ever do anything like signing up as someone else to get another book delivered
However OH did and now lives at his dads house :rotfl: very clever considering he was driving home from Aberdeen at the time :rotfl:
I love snow, especially when there are no footprints in it!! I just have to walk/run/roll over/make snow angels in it lol I am a bit of a child at heart, however I need to be carful cause my leg is twinging I am hoping it is just because of the cold!!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
rainmac thanks for the link. funnily my mum has also registered and ordered the other book I wanted:rotfl: I was trying to decide between two books and just hope I have ordered two different ones cos i couldn't remember which one I decided on! the order e mail doesn't tell you which one it is!
rusty hope OH gets home OK and not too late. how did your carrot cake turn out?
melissa glad to hear Brandon and your OH got home OK. I expect he has been off school since has he?
dawnteabag what a nightmare:eek: have you got your car out yet?
the boys' school was closed yesterday and today. OH was also off yesterday and we all went sledging. I will try and put some photos on my blog. OH is back at school today though.
ds2 had a hospital appointment this morning an hour away and I wasn't sure if we would make it. the roads were ok and although the speed was much slower than usual there was much less traffic and we got there in the same time as usual. the problems seemed to be southbound and after we had left the A1. there were reports of ice, accidents and tailbacks:eek:

Rusty - hope you enjoy your chillin time. Hope OH gets home safely x
I am doing a good rudolf impression at the mo, with a red and shiny nose, sore throat etc and haven't left the house since tues. DH told me it was -14 on his way to work yesterday
I've just realised Santa forgot to bring me my scor pal , wonder if he'll come back to deliver it and whether he'd bring a cuttlebug too (any colour, I'm not fussy :rotfl:)0 -
Evening ladies - still loving the atg:j It seems to make things so much quicker! Will be blogging some cards later. I have realised that I really don't enjoy doing decoupage much - have been using up a few pages I had and I really can't be bothered with all the foam pads and layers!
Rusty - keep an eye out for your postie over the next few daysAlso I hope that OH gets home nice and safely.
Rainmac, I'm going to get a slow cooker when I can be bothered to go to Argos - know the one I want. I have a feeling we used to have one but never used it:o I'm determined to find some nice easy stew like recipes that the boys will like. DH is veggie so he'll just have to miss out (although I spotted a nice braised mushroom recipe I might attempt - can't imagine what mushrooms will be like after 8 hours though!)
Myz - hope the eather doesn't get to you too much. Take care of yourself.
SKiergirl - I'm sure the Rudolf look is most becoming!
We're battening down the hatches for a cosy weekend in - I'm sure Lego Star Wars on the Wii will get even more of a hammering than usual! Still - I can sneak off and do some crafting while the men are otherwise engaged!0 -
Hi Ladies
Not posted here much but reading every day and checking all your wonderful creations on your blogs.
