Charlotte just told me she only wants clothes for Christmas

She'll be disappointed as I mainly bought toys, although I did buy an Upsy Daisy top and jeans, and some warm pyjamas.
Here I go again on my own....

weezl - I see what you mean by rental now! I enjoyed last nights programme as I like watching the crafts. I made DH a stocking last year, but it wasn't as nice as her one. I want to make LO a santa sack this year, although I've only got 2 weeks left and a million other things to do :D
Im North of Perth - Aberdeen. I don't mind Stirling though, It's about the same distance timewise on the train to Edinburgh, I don't mind there either.

    IM EASY!!

Perth, stirling or edinburgh suit me. I like the idea of a free-soft play whoever mentioned that!

I got my application for a career break accepted today. :D So i'll finish first week in January, and go back to work January 10th 2014. (Unless i'm dying of boredom and decide to go back sooner - or we get made redundant in the meantime!)

I'm very happy, but also terrified at the thought of not having a job!

    :j:j:j:j:j:j:j yipppppeeeeeeeeeee

I have another SAHMummy friend :D

    Morning all!!

    Did anyone miss me? :D

I think I'm still going to be flitting in and out over the next little while as we're still having some "issues" here (nothing to do with DH, LO or me).

I am very sleep deprived at the moment. Up to Sunday night, we had three weeks of getting up loads of times each night. It seems that the dummy is the problem. When she goes to sleep without the dummy, she sleeps for longer. When she goes to sleep with the dummy, it fall out and although that doesn't wake up her up, when she does wake up, she realises that it's missing so whinges for it until she gets it.

Anyway, we decided to go cold turkey on Monday and not give the dummy to her. We also thought that we'd have to do controlled crying a bit (which I really don't like but we were stuck what else to do) but would do it in 2 minute blocks rather than 5 minute blocks. Anyway, she cried for just under two minutes then that was it until 7am on Tuesday morning. Tuesday was OK too, but she cried for 4 minutes (I went in after 2 minutes) but last night she whinged for nearly an hour between midnight and 1am. She wasn't crying though.

I'm going to have a quick read back of a few pages now but I saw on FB that Dylan and Keira are both poorly, so sending get better soon vibes their ways.

    Back in a little while.

Trying to compose a note to my MIL asking her not to unload the dishwasher - she leaves all the dishes all over the side for me to put away anyway  At least they are tidy in the dishwasher!!

I could just put them away but I feel that I am not tackling the issues (I am hiding my ironing too!) and at some point I will explode!
    weezl74 wrote: »
    Definately needs saying MFD.

Also it's not very ergonomic. Everything gets handled twice rather than once, so it doubles the length of the job. NO NEED. I wonder if she's desperate to make a contribution but can't think how to help you? Could the note be a bit: 'please don't do the dishwasher, I realise it's tricky when you don't know where everything lives. If you fancy doing anything though, then we've been meaning to ......(insert job she could do without getting up your nose)'?

Hmmmmmn thinking about it, I would write that to my mum, but I'd struggle to say that to my MIL cos I want her to have no room to think I'm not domestically perfect :rotfl:. I'd probably end up saying to go through fergie's clothes drawer and take out all the 3-6 month vests or something like that...:D

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Awww sami!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I must have shared this before, but scene taken from the arrival of fergus:

Weezl (just at beginning of pushing stage, on all fours, in a whiny childish sobbing kinda way...): Some of my poo came out!
MW: (reassuringly) Don't worry it's fine very normal, not a problem...
Weezl: (More whiny now) But it landed on my foot!

    :rotfl:

Been up since 4 . Not fergie, he's sound asleep.

got a meeting and 4 clients today so need to function well. Not keen to have too much rocket fuel though (coffee) in case Kester decides to pop out. Did I say we reached the 'viable' mile stone a few days ago? :)

Off to catch up a bit more...

I'm not very good at letting MIL think I'm anything but perfect :D Although she did ALL the washing and ironing while she babysat for LO last week. It was lovely of her but I was annoyed that she didn't seperate LO's cottons and woollens, meaning her lovely hand knits from my mum are a bit grey now :( Oh well....shouldn't really complain.

MFD - I would wimp out a bit and go with - thanks for picking up Benjamin, I've left him x for dinner/ If you could leave the dishwasher until I get back - that would be great. Although I think weezl's is probably better IYKWIM :D

teething - we have two new ones appearing - that's tooth 9 and tooth 10. She's only 10 months old!!!! Poor might must wonder what's happening to her.

My mum is coming today - :T:T:T I'm off for a haircut and to grab some christmas shopping on my own. I'm looking forward to it.

Goota go as LO calling me. MOTM - lovely to hear about Lucy:D

No name yet, but there is a name i keep thinking about,

Ahh names, I really must start making a decision on this... I guess Joseph is too obvious for this time of year, looking at my family tree though there are a couple. Also like William.. dont think we could use Fordson as a middle name even though it would follow theme of LO's middle name.
Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.

buggy snuggle is what I was thinking of, bit pricey though, maybe get one on ebay?
are you/your nan any good with sewing? maybe you could put ties in the one you have?
:T i love them and i want one! i want one of the pramsuit type ones they do that are like a sleeping bag with sleeves but they only go to 0-6 months  i am not doing battle to try and get seths legs into a pramsuit, its hard enough putting a coat on him when he is in wriggly monster mode!!
Whats everyones Xmas decorations this year? Im not sure what to do, I have a lopsided tree up with broken lights! What kinda things are you supposed to decorate the house with? I was thinking some of those dangly things across the roof, like 4 of them so they meet in the middle. Tinsel round the units? Erm.....what do you do with oranges and cloves? Anyone think of a centrepiece for my table thats Santa esque.
ours arent up yet, but we've got a tree, some wire reindeers and trees from poundland which are actually awesome and you wouldnt think they cost £1, some twinkly dangly string lights which we'll stick on the wall, not having anything else cos of the cats!

These comments might look a bit random, as I've only read back to page 585!!

Tia - one of my friends once found a used dummy for sale on Ebay!

Elle - yay on the DLA!!!!

3 - congratulations on being a stay at home mummy. I am very jealous!!

MM - I've just picked up some more details about Dylan. How scary for you hun. I'm glad he's on the mend now though. Sorry to hear about the job.

MOTM - woo hoo is all I can say to you :D

SS - your poor DH. Is there anyone you can complain to?

Mrs Moc - how are you doing? How's everything at home?

Mookie - congrats on the promotion and yay on the pay rise!! We've started weaning here too - my biggest lesson to date...orange mush does not come out of anything even with nappisan!! Is Leila still enjoying being with the CM?

Weezl - Kester? Have you picked a name now? I really like that name.

Elle - thanks hun. Must go now as I have a whiney baby and lappy only has 8mins of battery left but will check back for the update later, as that will be much easier.

    Love to all

Awww.. my son is just too cute! I just went to check on him and he was waking a bit, sighing lots and doing half smiles, quickly alternating sides so looked like he was exercising his mouth! Opened his eyes, smiled at me, stretched, rubbed his face and back off to sleep again.. bless him :D

See that's why I don't have my hair down very often - cos it annoys me touching my shoulders. So I'm thinking something short would be the same as having it tied back but not look so harsh.. need a fringe of some description too, methinks.

Time I grew up and starting making an effort.. I think that's what's getting to me a bit
you've got quite curly hair havent you? :undecided i have curly hair too and have had a short bob before and it was a nightmare, and that was pre-seth, so i definitely wouldnt recommend it with a baby cos its loads of mainenance! if you do, get it long enough that you can still tie it up when you're in a rush/rhys is monstering :)

Hmm.. mine is quite thick too - and curly, which is another issue althogether  Might have to have a browse of some hair websites soon.. I already know one of my christmas presents is a haircut at a very nice place in town ;)
