I'd like to know if I can just bring the receipt back, or if I need to produce the items as well?
Yes Constantine is spot on.
If you think about it - your receipt will show the wrong price - but matches the Tesco database - so to CS it looks like the right price without the items - unless you get another one to show CS - who could then argue that the duplicate item isn't yours - if you see what I mean!
You might want to be quick - depending on the items - as another R&R Dude might visit the store - get the same item - bye bye SEL, bye bye R&R.
What were the misprices?

Remember that CC points for reusing bags thing from a couple of weeks ago? Don't know any other details yet but it is coming soon. Guess the previous posters store was part of a trial.Who or what was I before you came in to my life
I am not sure0 -

Just seen it spoken about on TV in the last hour.0 -
Got a partial R&R today. 2 for £3 pavlovas. I picked up the rasp pav plus a bl forest gateau. Turns out I picked up the wrong size cake. She offered to swap it over but I ummm'd and ahh'd and said I wasn't impressed as I felt I had been mislead as it was such a jumble in the freezer. She said ok I'll let you have this one free. So I got 2 for £1.77 which isn't as good as free but I wanted them anyway. So I am happy. Also used £5 somerfield voucher on my Tesco shop.
Voucher and refund savings 3 weeks = £46 only £4 more to meet my target. I am using the savings to hire a surf board for my daughter on our hols.0 -

It goes live on the 14th. One point per bag/box/carrying device used, but cashiers have been told to use discretion (sp?), for example, the folding crates some customers use will hold more than one bag full, and so will recieve more than 1 point etc.Titch0 -
In store scanners.
Does anyone know if Tesco are doing away with price check scanners? One of my local stores has had them removed, and the other one's scanners are switched off at the mains. When I asked for it to be switched on I was told 'It doesn't work'. ?HO trying to foil the MSEers checking for R&Rs perhaps0 -

This crops up from time-to-time on this forum.....
The general consensus is that there is no conspiracy from Tesco - maintenance of price-checkers are simply low down on the to-do list for each store.
In the time that I've been part of the lunacy that is R&Ring I've seen price-checkers eventually repaired - break - even replaced with newer models.
I must admit if I come across one swtiched off - I'll happily turn it back on to see if it works - 100% of the time it doesn't.
Keep hunting,

Can opener SEL £1.97, charged £2.47
Easy cook rice SEL 88p, charged £1.20!"I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0 -
Dude's Saturday tip this week - "Which Mis-price?"
#1 - The Gotcha - This is the least contentious mis-price - you have the Bay City Rollers Greatest Hits with a £1.98 sticker on and you are charged £19.99 - easy pickings - even the nastiest Customer Service staff will find it difficult to argue against this one – although your taste in music is $^*&”)$*.
#2 - Quality Meat - This covers mis-priced per kg SELs - usually meat - often cheeses and so on - your kangaroo joint has a SEL of £9 a kg - on the pack it is £10 a kg - you may have to give the CS staff a lesson in mental arithmetic dyslexia - and point to "the shelf" bit in the Price Promise - but you will get some joy.
#3 - The Time Traveller - Out-of-date crispy duck is no good for you - but out-of-date SELs are always handy - look for goods with a yellow SEL - check the expiry date - if it was last night/week/year then you could be in - check the price and you may be in - some caution - sometimes goods have not changed in price – but particularly good spots for mobiles & cameras.
#4 - The Special Offer - this covers extra advertising away from any stickers or SELs - "all XBOX games under £30" and the like - if you find one for £30.99 you have a mis-price - also check the repeating TV adverts in Extra stores - you may see Tomb Raider 7 - Laura's Melons at a lesser price – but you do have a mis-price - but you will undoubtedly face an uphill struggle with CS as you argue your case - worth a punt!
#5 - We Don't Go Outside - when Tesco run big promotions - '50 cans of Carlsberg for £10 and your sister traded in' - they will sometimes put up big signs outside - pay attention - outside the store. Check these out the day after said promotion finishes - sometimes the outside signs are still in place - grab yourself a pallet of beer, argue with CS and check into AA in a couple of day’s time………..
Have fun Dudes - and remember to report your findings on the mis-price thread!

Just a result
R&R'd no worries on the can opener, she asked 'what I wanted to do' so I said, well, I'd like a refund and I'd like to keep the product, please, She laughed, we went round the store to find the misprices, got the can opener, but the rice was in wrong place, although the 2kg were still all under the 1kg! Nevermind, I got a full refund on that, though.
