    Hi, my first post!

I purchased a Acer laptop yesterday [after seeing it in a flyer for 599.96]

Upon checking the receipt this morning, they charged me 599.94

the laptop was not displayed with a price on it as it was in the storeroom.

What are the chances of me complaining that I paid the wrong price....

I think I know the answer, if only it had been 2p more!!

    welcome to the forums....

you could always go to customer services and offer to pay the extra 2p that you didn't pay - I would complain like mad that they had undercharged me!!

You may well get some strange looks but if it eats away at you then leave 2p at the desk and walk away.

Seriously though, this does go to show that its not just overcharges that happen but undercharges too.

Actually you could, it wouldn't however fit in with the moneysaving aspect of the site and I really couldnt see many people boasting about how much they had been undercharged and bragging that they had given Tesco £xx.xx back this month!!!!

Oddly enough, since I started checking prices much closer I've noticed quite a few undercharges. The guilt of not paying back that money is eating me up!!! I don't think I can cope with the shame of it, oh wait I can!:p

PS I need some R&R cheese for a pasta bake on Tuesday, any help gratefully appreciated. Ta.

Just thought I'd post that Mobile phone offers finish today so get to your Tesco stores tomorrow and hope the yellow labels are on with the price now increased!

I literally cannot wait to see the new and exciting ways savvy MSE'ers will create in order to make points! Will stores see a strange disapearance of boxes of carrier bags only to see a week later customers turning up with them trying to caim a thousand points?! Will the streets around Tesco stores suddenly become a lot cleaner as customers are picking up carrier bags left right and centre in chase of those "Green Points"?!

If I pack my shopping like they do for home deliveries , i can easily make 25 points a trip!

i know this will get deleted or moved but i think its disgraceful that you call a member of staff a muppet for doing his job. I totally agree with R & Ring but there is no need to slate a member of staff for being helpful.

Many apologies, I didn't mean to offend. Nothing personal, it was just that this person was on the CS desk at the time and didn't click 15 minutes later that I was the person asking for the pricecheck in the first place.

Had another good day today, compliments of Mr. T.

    T-Mobile Nokia 3120 Mobile Phone PAYG - Sel £45.99 - charged £49.99 - Bought THREE.

    Ecover Soap Powder - Sel £3.xx - charged £4.39 - Bought FIVE.

    PS2 Game - True Crime - Sticker £5.86 - charged £12.99!!

    PS2 Game - Driver Parallel Lines - Sel £17.xx - charged £29.83!!

    Total R&R'd £214.74.

    All Sels removed.

Store had 2 self scanners which were both broken apparently. But chanced my arm on the manned till for the PS2 games as I saw them discounted in another store and knew the price was wrong. Got a member of staff to scan the phone in for me to confirm the overprice. What a muppet!!

I'm sure I'm not the only one to be pretty amazed about that particular haul from one store. Did the CS staff not ban you from the store?

Perhaps it's the cynic in me, but I don't understand how seeing the games discounted elsewhere would let you know they would scan at the high price?

edit: oh AND the same CS person forgot that it was you who asked for the price check? How INCREDIBLY fortunate..

How about a scan of your receipt to convince all us doubters?

Can I please clarify this? I'm still a R&R "virgin"...

My understanding is that you bought 3 phones and were charged £49.99 = £149.97. It should have been £45.99 each so you got £149.97 back plus the phones???
