Tigs, another thought.. start looking now on eBay for potential bundles for the first size Andrew will need. We had it sprung on us that Rhys would be moving into a cot and would need clothes that afternoon one Sunday morning.. Not sure what shops you have near to you, but we only have one which sells prem stuff (the Tiny Dee range) and it was £6.99 for one sleepsuit  but we had little choice as he needed them
In hindsight, he could have worn bits from the hospital, but that wasn't what they said to us first off
angela, have you made anything nice and sweet to have with a cuppa? Sounds like you could do with it0 -

But what counts as "first size"? He's hopefully going to reach 2lb at tomorrow's weigh-in, do I buy stuff for 3-4lb and hope that he's out of the incy? As you say, premie clothes are pretty expensive - I was hoping to not need to buy anything smaller than Mothercare's smallest "normal" size (which I think is upto 5lb), but I guess I could buy their 3lb premie range - only if he's going to wear them though!!. At least we do have a Mothercare in the city, not that I can drive there for another three weeks!:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

Yummy I just had homemade bread and butter pudding. DH took me to taybarns for lunch ( it's an all you can eat place that does carvery, pasta, salad, burgers and other foods)
Am annoyed though IL's took LO today and had instructions on when to feed him. However he came back and hadn't had lunch, apparently he didn't seem ready for it! Also he always comes back half undressed? Sometimes I think it's just me and I should be thankful that they have LO for us.

100g-ish of butter, two tablespoons of golden syrup, two tablespoons of cocoa (or cadbury's hot choc powder if you're me!), and broken up chocolate, all in a pan, on the hob, melted until smooth.
Broken up digestives, marshmallows, raisins, anything else you find in the cupboard.. throw them in the pan when the choc is melted, stir together.
Put in a tin (baking, roasting, cake - whatever!), lined with cling film, and put in the fridge and try to forget about it for a couple of hours.. Turn out, chop up, make cuppa and scoff
Simple?0 -

We had Tiny Dee 3-5lb sleepsuits and vests but I know you can get 1-3lb size ones too (Rhys was a whopping 3lb 6oz when born tho). I'd say go for the 3-5lb bits if you can find them because he'll fill them out once he's got a vest on under the sleepsuit (we were told vest, sleepsuit, cardi and hat ) plus will have some growing room. Mothercare have only just started doing prem stuff - started in August, iirc - so we didn't try there.
