Somethings happened!

Usually when I log onto my online banking with Halifax, I go to the 'Apply/Change' overdraft section to see where my guaranteed overdraft is sitting. It usually says £3,500. Well, it did yesterday anyway,

Today: Guaranteed overdraft available now up to: £0.00

They've removed my overdraft facility completely, I think.

    Lovely!

Have you called to confirm this?

    Hopefully just a technical glitch!

I was going to apply for Halifax aswell today.....

    |You don't have any reason why they would have done this do you? Have you checked you CF? If so are there any unrecorded enquies?

Another thing may be that it has passed the renewal date and because you haven't requested it they haven't issued it?

The overdraft wasn't actually applied to my account. It just usually states how much I can get without any questions asked. I was able to apply an overdraft to my account, upto the guaranteed limit if I wanted to. But as of today, apparently I can't apply any amount of overdraft onto my account.

I haven't tried calling them. I hate calling banks.

Have no idea at all why they did this. Only thing I could think of is either they've credit searched me and found that I may be overcomitted... or because I recently cleared my BOS credit card balance.

I've never used my overdraft but it's always handy to know I was able to get one upto £3,500 should an emergency arise.

    Ooo ok,

    Hopefully it corrects itself.

Abbey called, they will not be overturning th decsion for the CC decline.

Not too concerned tho as I have got a new account from them with O/D of £1000 taking my abbey O/D limit to £2.5k. They will also remove all of the searches :D

At least I got a new account and new green 0's out of it!

B@stards. Why are you being declined for Capital One?

With all of your bank accounts and catalogues, you'd think your score would have improved to be able to obtain more credit cards.

I recently got delinced from Sainsburys, but can't be bothered appealing to be honest. Seriously considering ditching Vanquis, however the large credit limit may come in handy if I need to make a large purchase and could BT some of the balance to the other cards.

I'm thinking of having a surgical procedure done, which would cost a substantial amount so it would have to be put onto my credit cards. Unfortunately I don't qualify for the hospitals finance facility.

The overdraft option on my HSBC Internet Banking seems to have disappeared a few days ago. It hasn't shown up at all. I wonder why that is... can others see it on there Internet Banking?

It only disappears if you recently applied and got declined (to stop you doing it again) or if you repeatedly apply......

Mine shows on both my accounts mate and can click amend overdraft as well.

I assume for it to disappear, you currently have no overdraft with them?

Mate don't worry about the guaranteed overdraft. This fluctutes daily and is a guide only. Means that if you apply up to that level it will be instantly approved as guaranteed. Basically, if it increases you should apply it to your account so you have it there - just in case.

To check the actual overdraft, it will show you current agreed overdraft and the guaranteed overdraft. So long as you're not over the current agreement then you're fine.

They won't have removed it all - if so then go in branch, the guaranteed element means little really.
