    Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all the good wishes. I was so nervous starting back this morning... but everything went well. I was surprised at how much my mushy brain remembered of life pre-Joel (DS).

My OH left him with MIL (who is looking after him for us) this morning whilst I got ready. I didn't feel guilty about leaving him (and then felt guilty that I didn't feel guilty... does that make sense? ) I have to admit, I'm really glad to be back to work... adult conversations not about babies are wonderful . I really admire anyone who stays at home to look after and nurture their children:T but it's really not for me. Joel is better off with his granny and I'm better off at work, I appreciate him much more.

Well done on the 2.5lbs off Honey,:j :j I guess you rediscovered your motivation (Cheekymole's kick up the bum worked then!:rotfl: )

Cathys1 - I probably won't get much of a chance to, but my GP has advised me to take it easy for the first few weeks and I'm going to use that as my excuse to go online and ignore housework! Besides, where my weightloss is concerned my OH is really supportive and will even interrupt an online game to let me log onto this site:eek:

Pixie1 - Consultant 31's advice is very true. I don't believe meal replacement plans work in the long term - you need to learn to eat healthily for the rest of your life, and make allowances for failures or setbacks. We're all human and need our treats sometimes. It's the ability to put the past where it belongs (behind you) and start afresh that is the most valuable lesson.

BlueMonkey - I don't believe those blood tests work... most mainstream allergy tests are carried out on the skin aren't they? If you really feel that you have a food allergy, try elmination... cut out bread for a week and see how you do... then try other things you think might be affecting you . Whilst I love bread, it's not very satisfying and I've started to have jacket potatoes, rice or pasta at lunchtime instead (it helps me get over the 3pm slump!) and I feel like I've had a meal because I've had to sit and eat it with a knife and fork!

Phew! really long post! and I forgot the most important thing....

Lois can you please mark me down for 1.5lbs off on the 2lb club please :j

Well done losers! I'm off to have my tea and relax in front of the telly for a while:cool: . Good luck this week

Hi all, can someone tell me if I read that Alpen or Ryvita bars are on a HEB? I can't find it anywhere with searching. Many thanks.

Yes 2 Alpen light or 2 Ryvita Goodness bars. It has to be 2 in order to get enough fibre.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Went back to WW after missing last week due to a late evening at work - and 2 1/2 pounds lost!! I have 3 weeks until my holidays and 4 1/2 pounds to go - so I am going to be a dieting angel until weigh in on 24th July (last one before New York)
I am crossing my fingers that I can lose the last few pounds before I go - I know that crossing fingers won't really help - but the weight loss has slowed down to a trickle recently.
We had a holiday stand in leader tonight - and I actually feel more motivated for the change of leader! - Our stand in has a vice for bread - so I can relate to her more than my regular leader

Good evening all and isnt it a hot one!!!!!!!

Jenittels - ooh fresh bread I love it. I have to be so strict with my breadmaker and only use it a few times a month when I feel I have been really good lol. Unfortunatly I think it was part of my downfall originally and its a shame cause I love the mixed grain packet mix you get - yum yum.

Debras Angel - Well done on going to the gym in this weather. I tried to do my exercise DVD a few weeks ago when it was hot and gave up before I passed out lol

Pixie1 welcome. I too would agree with the others that the cambridge diet would be good if you had say half a stone to loose for a special occassion but I think when you have more weight to loose its better to go for one of the plans that offer a healthy eating regime which you can then build into your everyday life rather than something that restricts what you can eat. I am doing SW as are quite a few people on this thread but I beleive WW would be just as good. Why not pick up a couple of magazines or have a browse on their websites and you may be able to decide which is best for you. Whichever you choose I am sure you will get support, advice, help and motivation from here when you need it.

    Honey 28 - Congratulations on the 2.5lb lost:T

Delly Belly - glad it went well at work today. I can totally empathise with you re going back to work and having a little one. I work two days a week and went back when DS was 4 months old and he went to a nursery - but its great we have good fun on the days we are together, he gets a couple of days with his little friends and me with my colleagues and I think it does us good. However, I do miss him when I am work but it makes the time we are together even more special for me. Well done on the 1.5 loss as well you are doing well.:j

RosWright - well done on the 2.5 loss and good luck for the next 4.5lbs before New York.

Hi all - here are the latest results for this week, with some minor changes in the way they are displayed - losses are now shown as minus figures, which I think makes more sense. I've also included a total of the losses achieved, so we can see how we're doing collectively.

Some good results, so well done Honey, Dellybelly, Cathys1, and everyone who's lost this week. Welcome to new members, Inspiration21, Nearlyrich, Nutty2, Julie_d, Blue Monkey and Suggs - good luck with your first week!

As usual, let me know if you want me to add a weight loss, or if you want to join the club.

I've found this week quite trying - if levels of hunger translated directly into weight loss, I should have lost 10lbs instead of 1! I was struggling so much over the weekend with lightheadedness and at one point actually feeling faint (the heat probably contributed) that OH pursuaded me to go to the doctor to be tested for thyroid problems, so I did and I'll have the blood tests done on Wednesday.

    Have a good week!

    LL
