Reason to lose weight #2 - to have great sex!

    Lois,

    What's that?:p It's been so long I've forgotten what it's for

Ahh, I remember, that's what got me into this mess in the first place!:rotfl:

Ros well done on the 2.5lbs off - that's a great result. It's funny how a new ww leader can give you a different perspective on things. My problem with my original RC leader (even though she was LOVELY) was that she was really sporty and had never been overweight so couldn't really understand where we were coming from, she saw it mostly as a mathmatical problem and didn't see any of the complications.
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.

My ww leader tonight pointed out that it's the beginning of another new month.

She encouraged us to set a realistic target of weightloss for the last weigh in of the month and if we achieve it to let her know.

I thought this was a really good idea but I don't want to keep my goal a secret because then I can adapt it as my weightloss goes (for instance, if I want to lose 8lbs but put on or maintain for 2 weeks, I can say.. no it was 6lbs).

so, I thought I'd let you guys know that my target weight loss for the month of July is 8lbs and I hope to acheive this by my last weigh in for July on the 31st. That way, my target is more real to me and I can't adjust it to suit my bad days. (of which there will probably be many once I get into the full swing of being back at work!).

    Thanks everyone.

  • Good Morning everyone :) What a lovely day today!!

A little bit about myself, im 22 and im getting married on the 14th July next yr so have a long time yet, i need to loose weight for that mainly but my brother is getting married end of september and all family i havent seen for a while are coming so i want to look my best!I had a baby 5 months ago so im needing to get rid of this excess baby weight, i wanna loose about 2 stone altogether but obveously thats not gonna happen b4 september, but with the loss of 2 stone i will be down to my ideal weight. I also need to do it for my confidence, since putting on weight my confidence has hit rock bottom :(

I started the slimming world diet yesterday ( monday) and all went well until DP annouced he was taking me and the two little ones to the pub so my 3 yr old could play on the park! I did however resist the lovely smelling cavery but i did have a few vodka's which im gonna add to my syns i worked it out to be about 25 syns :( i was drinking it with diet coke. So im gonna be very good today and eat as much free food as possible.

I did go into the pub toilets and they had a long mirror in there, i took a glimps at myself and didnt like what i was seeing, and felt pretty down about it :( so that image in my head is now my motivation :)

Lois Lane could i please join your 2lb club :)

Well done to all the loosers, brilliant weight loses :)

Oh and i have read that a couple of you have set yourselves a monthly target, Great idea :D im gonna set myself a target of 8lb this month too, that will keep me motivated aswell.

Sorry about the long thread, Thanks for reading x

    Morning all,

Not very good at this writing lark, I notice and am very impressed at how some of you are able to write little notes to each other to keep you all going.

I suppose its hard as Im not following weight watchers/slimming world and all the other groups, therefore I ave nothing really to add, but I suppose I will jump in with both feet if the need arises.

Anyways I do have one question, Im puzzled about the weekly weigh-ins? Probably because my weight never goes down in a nice straight line, one week, nothing, then 3lbs off, then 1lb...... I spoke to my dietician and she recommends fortnightly, I tend to be weighing myself, at boots, every ten days. So I was wondering is there a reason for weekly weigh-ins apart from the obvious that is :D

Lois can I join your club??

For whats its worth I went to the gym last night and suffered for the cause, my t shirt is normally that wet when its in the washing machine :rotfl: I managed 10 gym visits in June and I will keep plugging away.

Well done to all you loser's its good to see, and welcome to the new people, stick around there is lots of advise and help in here.

    Keep Losing! :j

Congrats on the gym work. I admire your determination (it's something I lack as far as exercise is concerned).
Weekly weigh-ins are just so that we can keep an eye on what's going on. It's quite normal to be up and down from week to week (even from day to day). Some of us would waver if we didn't have the discipline of a weekly weigh-in :rotfl: , but fortnightly or even monthly is just as good, it's a downward trend we're seeking!

You didn't need to resist the carvery - with the SW plan, it's an ideal way to eat. You can choose as much meat as you like (on Red days) or as many potatoes (on Green) as you can eat, all for FREE (well you have to pay the girl before you leave the pub :rotfl: ). We go out for a carvery every Sunday lunchtime and most of the meal is free food (with a few syns for a pud!). Your vodka & coke should be around 2½ syns each for a 25ml measure or 4 syns for the 35ml measure.
I hate long mirrors and am campaigning for a total ban :rotfl:
