    Jo - you can't lose 7lbs in a week!

While you lot were all busy this morning, I walked to the post office, bought stamps, walked back to the post box near home, then walked the long way round to the shop, bought yogurt & cottage cheese, and walked a different way back. I only got rained on briefly :D and managed to turn a trip that's probably about half a mile into around 4 miles! The good news is that the walking must be having an effect, as I realised while I was out that the velcro which normally comes undone at the top of my walking trousers stayed closed the whole time today! I get weighed on Wednesday, so we'll see then...

I've now made lunch (millet with garlic, tomato & olive oil) and plan to have a shower and then spend the afternoon slowly working my way through the piles of cr*p on my desk and sorting out my diary for next week...

jinky I have to ask, why are there clothes in a binbag?

Ah my un-ironables are things like underwear and towels and bedsheets, I just dump them in a binbag when dry, to save repeated trips up and down stairs.
Then i spend an hours or so sorting them all out and putting them away

    Hey Mrs GG,
Inside my cooker hood there are drop down flaps, but no removable filters, just these flaps - are these the filters? I sounds so stoooopid..........

What's the trick with the newspapers? Pray tell?

Have already spent nearly an hour and a bit on the kitchen but WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Will update my list later.....

Thanks for the thanks Mrs GG

The trick is after you have cleaned and dried unit tops fold newpaper and lay it out over your tops. Newspaper is absorbent so will absorb grease spots etc. Then you just throw and replace. Having had to scour unit tops before this really helps. it's what my grandma used to do (and she wore an overall when she was indoors cleaning...) Mind you she washed and ironed her dusters so there's no hope for me. And she hoarded NOTHING. Ever.

snap, sat down with younger DD to read and we both had a 20 min snooze - must have needed it.

Going to sort out some paperwork now and then phone the OU for the first of this weeks challenge list.

    Ok hold it right there
rosepink and you too Jo! and anybody else with more than 5 on their list

The weekly challenge is for 5 jobs - not 6,7,8,9, or 25 - JUST 5 - the idea is to pick 5 things that you NEED to get done and maybe have been putting off - and to do them THIS week - we are not thinking about the next 5 jobs yet or next week or next month - just this week!!! And 5 achievable jobs - carlsberggal honey there is enough on number 1 of your list for a week - break it down so that you do actually get something done - e.g
    1. remove stuff that doesnt belong in small bedroom and put where it should be - dont leave it lyiing around
    2. clean ceiling - light fitting -windows
    3. clean walls - wash curtains and put up fresh
    4. clean out furniture
    5. decide what to do about carpet
it doesnt have to be all done at once - this is the list for the week remember and then you can move on to the carpet etc etc make it straightforward and you will be more inclined to do it and feel better about achieving it

the same goes for all of you that have 'clear out airing cupboard/hall cupboard/ cupboard of doom' or whatever.
    1. do top shelf of cupboard - clear, clean and sort
    2. do 2nd shelf AND ^^^^^^^^^^^^^
    3. do 3rd shelf ^^^ ^^^^^^^^^^^^^
    4. do floor ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
    5. take all unwanted /unused stuff to charity shop or sell or whatever but dispose of it now
trry to be realistic with what you will achieve - if you are only doing the weekly challenge then you will have more time but there will still be household taks that need doing anywa.

You should NOT be spending every hour of the day doing the lists and the challenge - I kknow I am slave driver but hey even thats going tooo far!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
ok I want to see some revised list by this evening!!!
We all (well some of us) have loads of jobs that we should have done/want to do/ been putting off/ but we are doing5 this week!!!!!

    ok?????????
    toots xx:D:D:D:D
    Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder
