Welcome to all the new faces :) and welcome back to cheekymole - we've missed you!

If you'd like to know more about the 2 pound weight loss club click here

I'm really pleased - I actually managed to hit the target this week, with a 2lb loss! Today is day 4 of the RC kick start diet, and it hasn't been easy. I have been drinking loads more water which helps, and I was interested to read the liver theory posted by Consultant31, which makes me believe it's fat that I've lost rather than fluids. Thanks Consultant! :)

This weeks results are posted below. If anyone wants to add or change anything please let me know. Likewise if anyone wants to join, you can either email me, pm me, or post on this thread.

Only 1 week left to my holiday, and I'm going for a few more pounds and I'm determined not to put it back on again while I'm away.

    Have a good week everyone.

    LL

Hi Katy - dont be too hard on yourself - to maintain is better than to gain!

I haven't tried the grapes but I have heard so many people talk about doing it.Thats another thing to add to my shopping list tomorrow - grapes and grapefruit!!

Thank you for your welcome back messages and for the benefit of Consultant, it was absolutely awful.
For everyone else, I had a great time, somewhere I would definitely recommend - hopefully going back to do east to west coast next year.
6 weeks 4 days to the next holiday - must be good until then.
    I haven't got one!

Thanks for the chart Lois - good to see my name up there with my good 1st week loss!! Though don't think it will be as good this week - the hot days and football were enough to tempt me on the alcohol! Oh well, am just going to have to learn to drink diet coke whilst watching the matches! I do think i am doing well on the eating side though - it is only now i have cut it out that i realise how much rubbish i normally eat!

I lost 2 pounds this week and I'm really pleased - although I feel completely over filled with strawberries - this healthy eating is dangerous!

    Hi Lois,

Can you update me for the 2lb club please.
I've put 1/2lb on this week, so my total weightloss so far is 3lbs (l lost 1lb last week)

. I'm lucky to have gotten away with that despite all this lovely weather. I was at 2 bbq's last week. It's just as well we don't have 4 months of good weather every summer or I'd be seriously big. I don't mind about putting on the weight this week. As I said in an earlier post, I enjoyed a week of not counting a single point - mostly as my baby was sick this week and I didn't have the time or inclination to make healthy foods, besides, my weight didn't go on overnight so it's not going to come off the same way
. Having said that, I do realise that if I continued not to count points and eat the way I have been for the past week, I'd put on nearly 2 stone in a year. ..... another reason for staying with Weightwatchers... you can watch it go up as well as down.:rotfl:

Welcome back Cheekymole. Good luck this week everyone.
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.

Only camping in France this time, but we do love it.
I'll send the adoption papers off immediately if you still fancy it!?!

Has anyone who is mathmatically minded ever thought about how much money putting ON weight has cost you?

If you think about it, it takes an average of 3500 calories a week to put on a pound in weight. Bourbon cream biscuits have 70 calories per biscuit...

    3500 divided by 70 = 50 bourbon creams

    10 biscuits per packet.... .50 divided by 10 = 5

    55p per packet of biscuits..... .55p multiplied by 5 = £2.75

...so that's £2.75 per week I've spent putting on weight.

I need to lose about 75lbs in weight so:

    £2.75 multiplied by 75 = £206.25

And that's just if I ate bourbon cream biscuits to make me bigger.... I ate all kinds of nonsense (Ben and Jerry's ice cream was the biggest offender for a long time!).
Phew! that's quite a bit of money, and that's not even counting what I've spent on clothes as I've gotten bigger (and smaller again).

Thanks DB - that really puts it in perspective! I really don't want to calculate the crisps and choccies in my case.....:o

Another way our RC lady used to show us was to take in a pound of lard on a saucer to show us so that when you get the 'hmph, I only lost a pound' feeling she could hold it up and say - 'Look - this is a pound - this is what used to be stuck to you but now is not'. Quite effective really (unless you gain a pound that weekof course... )

Meanwhile I will try to get back on track again. Still walking toand from work most days (when I am with it enough in the mornings;) ). Have almost reached the £150 mark on 'saved' busfares now :T

Went to a BB's church service last week and they had a slide show on a huge white canvas at the front of the church just playing on a continual loop for the 10-15 minutesit takes the congragation to settle down and file in, of photos taken at the boys sponsored funrun the previous week. Needless to say there I was in my flourescent yellow marshalling waistcoat and looking like 2 tonne tessa!!  If there was ever an incentive to stick to the carrots and crispbreads..

    So long folks
