I'm amazed at how many people join this thread every day. I think more awareness of SD&R has to be made. People should check their bank statements and make their friends and family aware of the shoppersdiscounts&rewards scam.
Their site does list their contact details, which I think should be a stickered at the top of each page of the thread, with an explanation how to get every penny back.
It only takes two steps:
1-A phone call (2-3minute), confirm your email, name and address (and you'd like your money back, as you didn't know that you signed up to this scam).
2-Posting of the claim form below. (which they email to you as a result of the phone call):
Note: Your cancellation ref number is in the email they send with the claim form.Additional Refund Request

I had my last 3 payments refunded, a claim form emailed to me and my “membership” cancelled by the end of the phone call.
I received an email (a day after the posting of my claim form) to say they’ll refund me the rest of my money.
4 working days after the phone call I received my last 3 payments.
8 working days after the phone call I had received all the money they took for my account.
Do not settle for anything less than all your money back.

DW noticed today on c'card bill a charge of £10 by Shopper Discounts and Rewards (SD&R) (she is good like that :T).
With the help of the bank, tracked it down to a purchase at 'ligo' back in February.
Rang ligo CS who stated that there was no business affiliation with SD&R.
(Doh, how do they get a link on the check-out pages then ?)
Then rang SD&R's helpdesk
at 0808 234 1539,
(Mon-Fri 8am-8pm, Saturday 9am-4pm)

who were very helpful, apologized for the T&Cs not being clear and said they would refund any fees and send a confirmation email.
They have now sent that email and I am hoping to see a refund soon (was promised that would arrive within 10 working days).
Also wrote to ligo to say I disapproved of the scheme and connection and that I had not opted-in knowingly (a £10/month extended warranty for a £33 item doesn't really make sense, does it).
They have promptly come back and stated that there was a business relationship and that I would have to go to SD&R to get my money back and helpfully provided info on how to contact them.
So keep your eyes peeled and watch out for any freebies that involve any recurring *monthly* fees .
And I encourage anybody who has unexpected SD&R charges on their bills to contact them, they are helpful.
Will keep you posted if refund arrived.
Thanks and good luck with your claims,

The Train Line asked to to fill in a survey related to my recent complaint about Shopper Discounts getting my card info without my permission.
I have given them something of a roasting - thusly . . . .
I'm sorry, but I think your service is a con. You charge £1 for doing what I can do for nothing by going straight to the train operators' web sites and you levy a charge for using a credit card which the operators do not.
Your TV ad is totally misleading, the choice IS NOT between your site and the booking office, the choice is to use the proper sites.
On top of that is this ridiculous pop-up site, Shopper Discounts, which somehow gets confidential information. You must be in cahoots with them.
I will not be using your site again.
I'll no doubt get the usual denial but maybe they will do something abut it.0 -

After receiving my bank statement I noticed £10 paid to shoppers discounts. Thanks to everyones threads I have hopefully rectified the situation as I have cancelled my membership and will hopefully get the money back. A worry I have is that this is the 1st month I have had the money taken out of my account but I haven't used said account for a number of months as it has become my holiday fund, so I'm extra worried about how sd got my bank details.
Not sure if anyone previously has done so but I have sent a message to watchdog, not sure if they'll do anything but thought it was worth a try.0 -

Hi cm22, When I rang shopperDiscount, they told me when and how they'd got my details to sign up to their 'membership', so they should tell you. Please make sure you get all your money back, its very easy to do. keep us posted.0
