lindsey, if you log on to the SW website and go to syns online, you'll be able to check the syns for almost everything there without having to wait for people to reply.

Hi lyndsey, powdered gelatine is sin free both days. But you'd need to sweeten it (with candarel?) and add some colour/flavour (with sugar-free squash?). Syns probably negligible but a lot of messing about for not a great result and the gelatine wouldn't smell too great either (as it's made from boiled animal bones)! Prob better off with a sachet of Birds sugar-free jelly christals 0.5 on green days, on 2.0 red, I think. For the veggies amongst us, the only veggie alternatives I've found are sugar-free pots of ready to eat jelly (Rowntrees?). They can also be scooped out and melted in the microwave and re-set as you choose, or sachets of kwik-jel sugar-free (meant for tarts). Sorry, don't know the syn values. :)

lyndsey, I suppose you already know that all jelly is made from gelatine, except those marked vegetarian (and that it's used as a thickener in loads of ready made chilled/frozen meals & other foods - inc. pork pies, muller light & WW yogurts, desserts, lollies, jelly sweets etc, etc!) At least there's less for me to eat! ;)

So do you cook or soak the couscous first? It doesn't take any time at all to cook, I find, just not sure what they mean by 'prepare'!

Sounds like fun though ... Thanks!
