Maybe it will depend on which shop is delivering your order? If mine still has the 2 for £3 offer on then I expect that's what I'll be charged, but if someone elses eggs are coming from a store which has a different offer then that's what they'll be charged?

Just been in to tesco (Scarborough) and they have withdrawn the offer, all the eggs were supposed to have been removed from the shelves. I did find two but they scanned at full price and the cashier said the mistake had been spotted this afternoon.

SEL 6.99, went through at 6.99 each and then a multi offer on the receipt which said 2 for £3.00, but it took off £3.98, so charged £10.00 for the 2 eggs. Got refund at CS, not worth arguing about as no SEL stating 2 for £3.00.

Thanks OP!! I have just been to my local Tesco and found one Cadburys Collection Caramel Egg on a shelf with no SEL in sight. I asked an assistant if there were any more in stock and he came back out with 2 trays of eggs (one milk chocolate, one caramel). I took 3 of each (some for me, some for a friend) and got all six for £9!!! please see my post below!!

This offer is not advertised at all in store (that I could see).

I was trying to buy 2 Cadburys Collection eggs from the Tesco website. It says 2 for £3, but when I checkout, it's charging me full price. It says that any discounts are applied when your card is debited, but I don't want to take a chance and pay 15 quid for 2 eggs....
Has anyone bought from the website and got them for £3? If so, did they apply the discount after purchase?
    Thanks

I went along to my local store - Irlam and asked the staff who were putting the eggs out about this offer. The girl said she knew which one it was - it was the cardboard tube and that they didn't have any in stock. I asked about the tinned ones and they said NO it is not those, so I went to our other store which was Warrington. I asked another member of staff about the offer and they said that they didn't have any that were reduced like that, although they did have the tinned ones. I decided to take a couple of the tins to the checkout and asked someone to scan them. She did and said - NO these are £6.99 each but on scanning both of them, said they were 2 for £3, so I went back and got 6 eggs. I told a couple of people whilst I was there about the offer but I think they thought I was having them on as the ticket price said £6.99. When I was going through the checkout, the staff mentioned about this and when I told them there was only a few left on the shelves, one of the women logged off her till and ran to get them.

If they try to deliver them at the full price simply tell the driver that you don't want them as they were advertised at 2 for £3 and they will refund the money back on your account.

    Taken from Tesco T&C's:
When your order is delivered you may return any item and receive a full refund if you consider that the difference between the price charged and the guide price shown on the Grocery website is unacceptable.

Ok, sorry for my post above, I was mistaken!!! After posting my delight at having got these eggs for 2 for £3 I re-checked my receipt and found that I too had been charged 2 for £10! (Although the receipt itself states 2 for £3, the deduction made only amounts to 2 for £10). I immediately went back to the store and went to customer services (the couple in front of me also had the eggs!). The manager stated, at first, it was a misprint on the receipt until the CS assistant said they were actually scanning at 2 for £3 and also advertised on the internet as the same!! He then, reluctantly, relented and said we could have them at 2 for £3 and we could have a refund for the difference (both myself and the couple in front). I then politely pointed out the policy of DTD and was promptly told that this is no longer Tesco's policy, only a refund of the difference could be given. I asked why they were still advertising DTD as their policy and was informed that they do not. I then pointed to the huge blue board behind the manager stating "If things don't add up..........". He replied "that should have been taken down, it's old, DTD was changed to difference only last year". Anyway, after asking to speak to HO about their change of policy, he agreed to give DTD "just this once"!!

So I paid £30 for 6 eggs and was refunded £42!!!!
