Hello. Have posted on here before - had a bad couple of weeks and went from 12st 4 to 12st 7, and now "back on the wagon" again!!
How does everyone stay motivated? I have good weeks and then terrible weeks - I wouldnt mind if it was an off day, but I go through stages of being good or very bad!!
I leave for Oz in Aug and I want to be thin & at my goal weight - even at 11st I would be happy (im 5ft 11) - I just cannot get under 12st!! Grrrrrrr!!
Can I just warn people to stay away from the volvic touch of fruit water - for a 1 1/2 litre bottle, it has 7 points in it (if you follow WW you'll know what I am talking about), but it is VERY HIGH in sugar & not at all good for you!! (a bit random, but I have seen a lot of people drinking it thinking its healthy!!)..

I wonder if I should follow the Slimming World plan instead of Weightwatchers??!! (not that I am following that rigidly at the moment either!!).
Anyone go to the Slimming World meetings in Central London?

Hi ms_london
I stay motivated because of the money I pay in class - I don't believe in paying £4.25/week if I'm not going to stick to it.
I also have a holiday and want to look my best for that
I find the SW plan really easy and yes I do have bad days where I just want to scoff chocolate but I just do something to keep my mind occupied
Good luck with whatever you decideI haven't got one!0 -
Morning All. I am really pleased with myself this morning. Had my first night out last night since joining weight watchers and managed to keep within my points. I had saved 10 up from the past few days, drank a bottle of wine (7.5 points) thena glass of wine in the pub (1.5 points) and a J20 (not sure, but think it is about 2 points).
Going out was the thing that was worrying me most about dieting, but I did it and because I drank pretty much what I normally would, didn't feel deprived at all (ok, have a bit of a headache this morning, but will drink lots of water!!). _pale_
it is my job interview tomorrow, so am going to spend today working out which of my nice looking smart clothes I can actually fit into, that will be depressing :eek:Sorting my life out to give a better life to my:heartsmil 2 gorgeous boys :heartsmil0 -
Well done flis and good luck in your interviewI haven't got one!0

Well Done Flis - mind over matter. I was pleased to lose weight one week after being away for the weekend - I didn't deprive myself then either.
Good Luck with the interview tomorrow - fingers crossed for you!0 -
Hi, hope no1 minds me joining in on this thread,
I have always been concious of my weight, dont keep scales in house (will weigh myself at boots 2moz) roughly 11 stone and only 5ft3. I can stick to any diet......for a day or 2partly because i have no motivation, and partly cos i like crisps, chocolate....etc.
This morning I had a msg on comp, from my ex (father of my kids, we WERE trying to work things out) telling me ive put on some weight!!! LIKE I DONT KNOW, hes apologised since for anything he said (cant remember cos he was drunk) I can forgive but cant forget that, it upset me at 1st but now im angry at him, so......
I am going to transform my clothes rack back into the exercise bike it once was, dig out my exercise vids and come out of auto pilot when i shop 2moro so i dont buy the same unhealthy stuff.
Then when ive got the smooth toned body my ex wished i had i think i might just be too good for him. :rotfl:
I am doing this for me, I want to look good for my friends wedding in may, so this has given me the kick up the backside i needed to get started.
Sorry for going on, can i stay if i promise not to post this long again?Good enough club member number 140 -
Hi sugajen, we don't mind at all, welcome along.
I am 5'4" and when I started on Jan 10th I was 11 stone 3lbs. I have 7lbs to go to get to my target of 9st 6lbs, so you can do it with a little motivation. Clear out the big clothes and aim to get into the smaller ones.
and show the ex just what a gorgeous and sexy woman he's missing out onI haven't got one!0 -
Thanx cheekymole,
being almost the same height then 9st 6lb, must be a good weight for me too, I dont want a quick fix diet, I want to get it off an keep it off, how much do u think is sensible to lose in 9 weeks? (thats the wedding i wanna look good for)
Thanx again for making me feel welcome, I know i can chat about my weight on here with ease, Im sick of being told by family and friends "dont be silly" and "you look fine" while they stand there in their size 8 skinny jeans :mad:Good enough club member number 140 -
I think if you can lose about 2-3lbs a week, that would be good. I averaged 2lbs a week and felt great for it. Will you be following any specific plan or just cutting down.
A word of warning, any major exercise and could see yourself putting on, lose the weight then tone upI haven't got one!0
