Low Carb Diet (atkins)

Just weighed in and I've lost 4 stone now! I was hoping to get to that before Christmas so I'm very pleased.
We've never gone overboard on eating a lot over Christmas but this year I'm having trouble finding anything special to have as treats. Any ideas? I've bought some nuts in their shells and some dark chocolate but can't think of anything else.0 -
well last night i had sausages with roasted sweet pot, butternut and parsnips..soo all a bit borderline dodgy really! lol but damn yummy...
well done moji, i've bought the same stuff i always buy for xmas but just less of it. So we have one pack of mince pies and a small box of thorntons and WIGIG! (unless unhelpful people buy us more of course..) as we have very little family left we shant be forced to eat lots of bad stuff to be polite. and my kids can always be relied on to hoover up anything i shouldnt have:TCredit Card debt £10247.17 1/1/20200 -
moji well done on the 4 stone!!! u should be very proud of yourself... why dont u treat yourself to some da vinci syrups (see lowcarbmegastore) then u can make cheesecake with cream cheese and special coffees etc, they are basically a sweetener but they come in different flavours, they can also be used to make lowcarb baileys (see below)
pink i used to love parsnips but now find them all too sweet, glad u enjoyed them and the sweet pots, last year i studiously avoided getting a tin of quality street and on xmas eve hubs friend turned up with a tin for me for christmas lol
ok lowcarb baileys recipe as requested
10 fl oz double cream
190ml whisky
3/4 tspn coffee granules
1/2 tspn vanilla essence
3/4 tspn cocoa (the proper sugar free stuff
1/2 almond essence
6tbspn splenda (sounds way too much to me, i use da vinci caramel to taste)
mix cocoa, coffee, sweetener in enough whisky to make a paste, warm cream, add rest of stuff and blend into the paste, bottle, let cool and refridgerate... will keep a week assuming it lasts that long lol

Hi guys :hello:
Just a quicky sazzy coz I been at that new Westfield shopping mall in west London today and I am pooped!:o Omg it's flippin mahoosive that place! Busy day again tomorrow - whistlestop tour of London including wresting keys out of builder's hand, more crimbo shopping and stopping by to see my folks. But rest assured I shall be back afore the week's out to answer accusations of inter alia miniature donkeys, buses, matching pak-a-macs and bobble hats... i dunno, turn me back for 5 mins...

Pink, good idea about reading IPD again. I reread it recently, and I know Tink does every so often, too, to keep herself on track.
I agree about the Bailey's recipe. Sounds fantastic, even though I don't like Bailey's or whisky!
Saz, your posts make me laugh so much! :rotfl:DD is waiting to hear from you-know-where. She should get the letter before Christmas. Either way, there'll be tears (from me too).
I have no more work to do this year. Bad for the bills, but good for the house! I have an Everest of ironing to do and a messy, disorganised houseAnd I suppose I should brave the shops and finish off my Christmas shopping at some point.

i think i'd better buy another copy as mine stops 3/4 of the way through and then starts at the beginning again! maybe thats why i cant get it right! :rotfl:Credit Card debt £10247.17 1/1/20200
