My present lady has a magnificent pair of lungs. I've just heard her shout for me to put dinner on and she's at her mother's which is 5 miles away!

Amistupid, just trying to get an idea of what framework the FSCS are using to send out the 2nd emails. Is it alphabetical? Can I ask what letter your surname starts with?

I read someone starting with E got their 2nd mail a few days ago.

Hi little bear. "H" I'm afraid. I honestly don't think there is a pattern to them sending 2nd emails. It is just pure luck.

My surname starts with J. There seems to be no rhyme or reason for the order in which people are getting 2nd mails. I don't know how the FSCS are making sure that everyone gets their email when they're not doing it in any order. Calling it a shambles would seem to be putting in kindly.
Let me explain...in Blackadder-to-Baldrick patronising tone (only joking):-

You take a list of 200,000 names...you put in through a computer random-number generator...in about 0.00001 seconds it comes back with a random list for your new file. You then send emails to chunks of 10,0000 names from this new file, deleting each chunk as sent.
In the meantime Nilrem's Blood Pressure hits the roof.....

Birmingham Midshires.....despite being assured that I would be able to transfer my Icesave ISA to them as long as we sent the cheque and certificate just as soon as we receive them from FSCS they are now saying they need them by 30th November!!

I just called them for a second opinion and got the same story, 30 Nov as closing date for funding the fixed term ISA. Oh, well back to the drawing board on ISA planning......

This is the United Kingdom. You really think the FSCS are smart enough to be doing that? :rotfl:

I'm really getting a bit desperate for my money now. At the very least, I need to start earning interest on it very rapidly.
  • :j ...hey that's good news, I'm in IT ...perhaps I'm not as dumb as I thought with novel ideas like that
