Well, it transpires that IKEA has finally got its kitchen in order and is now doing the 1-pound hot breakfasts until 11am. But if you get there after 10.15am be prepared for a LONG cue! But if you're hungry and pressed for time, check out their .35p bread roles. Fantastic! Although .10p for a small block of butter is quite extortionate.

And a local paper has reported that Tesco claims earlier reports of a mouse sealed in a cucumber purchased from the Bletchley store were wrong. Tesco claims that what looked like a tiny mouse was actually some uncepcified vegetable matter. Tesco doesn't have the last word in our house, though. We'll decide for yourself whom to believe.

Boots Westcroft reduced all their Daniel Ryman stock to £1 last night. AND it was BOGOF and the kind lady let me use my £5 voucher (from free Change One thing leaflet),

12 items worth approx £90 for £1. Best Boots bargain ever. This is a small Boots and they are discontinuing this line from the store. Also posted on Grabbit Boots thread.
Loads of other stuff for £1 and 50p. Going fast.
  • been MSE'er for a while now but only just found this thread - excellent!

I work 5 mins from John Lewis and walk over to the centre about 2-3 times a week so I will keep my eyes peeled for bargains and report back.

    cheers

    PS - Daniel Ryman? Haircare?

Martin was on the ITV 5'oclock show tonight mentioning the local government MOT centers which are required by law to do MOT's to the general public. Has anyone found out the Milton Keynes MOT test center? Seems MK is among the few to conceal this information. And its not on Martin's list at http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?newsid1126540795,61463,
  • Yeah, I particularly wanted to find one in MK but there weren't any when we last researched it. If anyone does find one could you post it on the discussion thread for that article?

While I'm here, I saw these in the Ikea bargain basement last night:

    Galant tables.

120x60cm reduced from £100 (according to the label) to £35
    160x80cm reduced from £120 to £45

I couldn't see a reason given for why they were reduced, although I wasn't particularly looking that closely. There were quite a few of them.

This is the 160x80 one (you have to change it to birch veneer and t-leg - I think that's what they were but not certain.

    Sorry it's a bit vague

    Andrea :)

    Hi Guy's

Yep it's all legit. BUT......I tried to book in and couldn't get an appointment til NEXT friday. Obviously Jan is when all the Cabs and stuff go in for theirs! So handy for if you are due in a month or so but no good if it's imminent!
