I have now received this response. Obviously not got on the fast track here:mad:Thank you for your email. Your comments have been noted and will be taken into consideration when your case is allocated to an adjudicator.Yours sincerelyBut looking at it now this is about my second email about this settlement thing so its not a reply to my email of this morning.
.
Its a reply about the one whereby i have asked for an amount of 20% of what the settlement was plus statutory interest. I then emailed again and told them to forget it so i would imagine that i will receive another one soon. That was what i thought was the unfair rebate.
I think these are standard emails sent to all.
Had to restart this again damn thing...... .
Your like me hun as we have sent them so many emails its a job to know which one they have responded to........
Don't panic about not being accepted for fast track hun, I think they will still consider this.;)
My news so far, received a telephone call from a male adjudicator, he is dealing with my case (lloyds tsb credit card) ppi, the letter went off to them today, he says by going through it - he seems to think he has all the information he needs from me.
This one has been in with them since July, he did not mention anything about fast track though - and yet I did not think to ask...... , think it may have just been time to have passed it on - I don't know ??.
Still its being dealt with now and he said it will be a couple of weeks now before I hear anything further, but have sent a letter out today through the post to me with his direct contact details.;)
I think you will be okay hunni.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Good news, received a letter this morning, informing me that my claim for mis-sold ppi, has been settled, Bank of Scotland, has informed me that my loan has been paid up in full, and if there are any overpaid funds, will be repaid. My main objective, was to get the loan paid, which i have achieved, anything else is a bonus, the object is don`t give up. Wish to thank everyone for all advise given.0

Just rang them AGAIN about my Firstplus  . They have again said that they do not know why nothing has been done as yet and will try to chase this up. I have asked for fast track and sent all the details in and that was weeks ago. I am now getting annoyed (putting it mildly!!!!) about this. I sent in my complaint before i sent in the Co-op ones. My co-op ones are already with an adjudicator and that has been since 11th September and my Firstplus one is the one i really want sorting and nothing yet.
No-one can tell me anything black or white about this. I have also rang about my co-op ones as since it was assigned an adjudicator and he rang i have emailed a few times and got one automated reply to say annual leave until 19th September and then now it says that he is on sick leave until 29th September. I have rang his under study and he has told me they are still awaiting things from the Co-op again after sending them another nudge. I asked what now and he says that there is no set time limit for a firm to actually send the items. He did say that all four loans are being looked into though if i mentioned them on the complaint form. (I did mention them but still none the wiser as i actually wrote "i realise that these are outside of jurisdiction etc but we actually had four loans and each PPI was missold". He told me that a copy of the actual complaint that you send in is then sent on to the company:eek: . I did not know this so be very careful what you say. Anyway, i just wanted to rant and this time about the FOS. I just wish they would get things together. I don't seem to have any luck with them at all.
The lady I spoke to today about FIrstplus said someone would call me back later on today but i then told her I had had that response 3 times (each time i have called over 3 weeks) and that not once had anyone done that.

Why can't they just answer things for me. I have put my complaint very plain and simple. Its about an unfair rebate of a PPI policy. Nothing more, nothing less and then i have added the details of the settlement and loan, PPI etc.0 -

I do have one issue though - my original mortgage was taken out with IGroup but (I assume) they were purchased by GE Money as that is who my mortgage is now with.....does this make them responsible now or do you think they'll fob me off?

My understanding of this is as follows.
Assuming 8.4% APR for the whole 32 months for ease i'm entitled to 8% APR on the money i've paid for the PPI
So, 8% = 0.6434% monthly. As i've made 32 monthly payments: -
Payment 1 = 91.79 * 1.006434 to Power 31 = 111.98
Payment 2 = 91.79 * 1.006434 to Power 30 = 111.264
.... repeated
Payment 31 = 91.79 * 1.006434 to Power 1 = 92.381
Payment 32 = 91.79 no interest (yet)
Total paid = 91.84 * 32 = 2937.28
Interest @ 8 % compounded monthly = 312.68
Total = 3249.96.
So the offer is well out as my APR has been up as high as 10.3% so the 91.79 base figure will be higher in most months.
Does this sound right?0 -

Very frustrating I know..... an easy question you would expect a simple answer.....
I remember getting all wound up with my very first complaint against Nemo and every week it was either they will on sick leave or on holidays, yet the adjudicator who dealt with ours last year worked 2 days one week and 3 days the following week, and her underhand just used to say she would pass the message on as there was nothing more that she could do.....
Now this one is my 2nd one ever to go with the FOS as I was lucky with winning the complaint against LV, even though they were not covered then to my knowledge when we had the loan/ppi, they refunded me within about 3 weeks, that was the easiest of them all but unfortunately some companies just can't be bothered to even look into a complaint !!!:mad:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

bluestar79 wrote: »Does anyone know about a company called credit reclaim services? www.creditreclaimservices.com ? They called me out of the blue to tell me I'd been missold PPI with my mortgage almost 4 years ago....naturally I asked how they knew this and apparently it was via a data collection service? Their website seems quite real however I feel that if something sounds too good to be true it usually is! They say they'll charge me £49.50 to cover the cost of the admin (which I'll be refunded once my claim is heard & I've had my refund) and I could get between £800-£2000.....I wonder however if this is a conservative estimate and they are taking a percentage?
Should I just try myself? HELP!!! We're in financial hardship and this would really help us at the moment....thanks0
