    Hi,

Sorry to be a pain but can't locate the answer, is it easy to get the "players club" membership?

    Cheers

    Steve

You can fill it in online and collect the card at the hotel
    http://www.playersclub.com/

The only disadvantage of doing this is that you often get joing gifts liek free slot play etc if you join on site but the savings you make from this in advance probably out weight this.

make no mistake , Vegas is hurting in the current economic climate , hence room rates are much lower than last year.

LVA has just published it mid year rate survey and places like the MGM are 30% lower than last year.

but it is a lot more expensive getting there what with the fuel surcharges on airlines, add to which LV taxis have now added 45c a mile on to prices

in short ..it 's more important than ever to get the best deal for your room to claw back your other extra costs. :A

did everyone see the notice about refund of part of the fuel surcharge if you bought tickets with BA or Virgin between 11th August 2004 and 23rd March 2006?

    www.airpassengerrefund.co.uk

from what the notice my husband brought home says refunds will be between £4 and £20 per passenger per return ticket.

Now to try to go back through our records to see when we bought our tickets as that appears to be the key, not the dates we flew.

Looks like the online claims option does not go live until 14th July.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I actually disagree with trets, I have been there with 3 rooms booked and got 2 on the same floor (quite close) but the other was a few floors away. That was a few years ago.

Went back this year with a 2 queen bed room booked but could only get a king bed room, unless I wanted a smoking room.I got the impression that they had a few smoking rooms empty but struggled with non smoking. Also met a guy on the same floor who had 2 queens booked and he could only have a king bed with 2 rollaways for 2 teenage kids one of which was 17, He wasnt happy !!!

I wont be going there again, as apart from not getting room I wanted the place is just toooooooooooo big.

BUT you may be lucky,(especially if you smoke) only trouble is you wont know till you get there as no Vegas hotel will gtee bed configuration or location

There have been a few posts about airlines within this thread and I know that US Airways has been mentioned a few times.

Ive just read a news article stating that US Airways are going to stop showing in-flight movies from November.

Equipment is too heavy and with rising fuel costs its not profitable and the take up of passengers paying $5 for headphones isnt great.
