erm...also, I hate to disappoint you but the IP pool isn't very big...relative to the other pools in Vegas.

At the time of booking the room expedia had an offer and it was cheaper than booking direct (tried..)
Anyway all booked now.. and for people like me the reviews are good. I need a room to sleep and shower, and the rest of my time will be elsewhere. If this was a holiday with my girlfriend I'd be much more interested in bigger/comfier/better... but the location is more important for me at this trip[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

You can ask for a upgrade at check-in. The price depends on the hotel capacity e.g. - the offer is coming up with Grand Tower rooms.0 -

The biggest drawback is that you booked with expedia, as you say you are going to do a lot of gambling, you may well have had your room comped but you cant with a 3rd part booking. The pool at IP is a regular pool but it is in the middle of the towers so is in the shade for most of the time.
Another advantage of booking direct is that when offers come along you can get your rate reduced, but we all live and learn, but as you say the location is great0 -
To be honest photo, I won't be doing any gambling at IP
As I say I'm a poker player.. I'll be playing pure cash games but moving around differetn casinos on the strip and very rarely putting a lot of time into the same place.
Didn't realise I could get my rate reduced booking direct, but as I said at the time of booking it was cheaper with Expedia than it was direct (some offer Expedia had at the time!)
As for the pool.. no didn't know it was in between 2 towers, but once again most reviews I can see for it show it's perfectly adequate
Will definitely take all this on board for next year but no good putting down what I've already ordered ^-^[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

IP shares a players club with Harrahs, Rio, Flamingo, Ballys, Caesars and Paris...so your play at any of those casinos goes to the same account and counts toward comps for whatever property you are staying at within that group.
Poker players can qualify for special reduced rates too...I would definately sign up for the cards anywhere you are going to play and use them as it may bring you offers or reduced rates for next trip.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

It's a matter of filling out a form and giving over your ID - that it really. The only thing that can cause it to take more than a few minutes is a queue. It's basically the same thing as a Boots/Tesco/Sainsburys loyalty card but they track your gambling and not your shopping.
As mentioned recently there are 2 main clubs for most of the strip properties - MGM and Harrahs (HET) - you join at one of the casinos for each and the card is good for all in the group. There are several others that have their own clubs which may be worth signing up for (Wynn, Tropicana, Planet Hollywood, Bill's, Stratosphere, Circus Circus/Slots-a-Fun, Casino Royale, Hooters, Venetian/Palazzo)...sure I've missed some. And then there's all the downtown casinos.
Lots give free slot play or some free gift for joining.
Thinking about it I think O'Sheas is on HET's Total Rewards now too.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

looks like Deluxe rooms from $65 for your dates on both.
Remember to check the different room types - there's a drop-down list on the left above the calendar.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
