For anyone who is a fan of Aloe Vera gel (like me) Boots have it on BOGOF at the moment.

It is Banana Boat 453g (Big bottle) £5.99 (BOGOF)

It is wonderully pure. It can be used for just about anything, moisturising, after sun, dry skin, bites etc. Great for scratches grazes on Little ones too.

I don't understand it either. I doubt i'll use them to be honest so Hogshead if you get anywhere near Nottingham give me a shout there all yours! ;)

Bit far for me hun but thanks all the same.

Pash it is me re the photo corners but I am guessing the the saving on the item would be transfered to the cost of posting to me. Feel free to pm me if you reckon it might be worthwhile as I only have 2 packs so no idea re wight & postage.

    Thanks again to you too.

I did try to double quote but failed as you can see!

Wow 18p that is amazing. I tried to get some of these for hogshead a couple of days ago and they were £6.99 and I was told that they are not being reduced.

:confused: It doesn't make sense does it. Will never figure out how Boots works.

There are blanket reductions across all stores, then there are layered reductions where a store will be put into one category of reductions for that item, that is based on how the product sold recently.

For instance with the photo albums if they sell great in store A they will remain full price, sell ok in store B then they will be reduced by 30%, hardly sell in store C then they will be reduced by 50-70% and if have very limited sales they will be reduced by 90% or more.

I noticed recently on the last thread there was a question regarding the fluctuation of no7 items. There are 28 stores where certain lines are sold for a higher price. This is simply and perhaps not fairly, because those flagship stores can basically sell those items for more.

Also I have seen a few posts about website/store price differences. This is due to boots.com being a seperate company. Again perhaps not fairly, if it is felt that an item can be easily sold for a higher price it will be. However, one advantage is that many of the 50-75% reductions will not apply in store.

Hope that helps clarify a few things

( I should have given more vouchers to my friend but I didn't know if she would have any better luck than me).
You should have sent them to my oh Clare ;)

Have to say that I felt a pang of guilt when he got rid of all the till splits, (I think he went to Boots every day last week! :o ) because I know from other promotions what it feels like to be left with them on your hands, or giving them away.

It's a consolation that I can do swapsies with Rubes ;) but I'd be well and truly miffed if I was you. Hope your friend gets you some all the same, then I'll feel as if I can have a 'smug moment' .....

Let me know when I can ;):D x

On an almost different note, AB_KW served him with the last ones and oh received a survey :D(I was so tempted AB lol) but AB put his name on the top of it.

I guess that's a sign of confidence that he's a good SA ? :)(He is, but don't tell him lol)

Hi Sonee, I know the feeling well. My online order arrived recently, soaking wet from a leaking product. I rang CS within 5 mins of receiving it. Got an apology and a reminder that they would speak to the courier, and was told the same as you. Take it back to the store or return to dot.com. That was it!!

Personally I think CS may have had enough of people who make bogus or exaggerated claims, and are told to keep products (or whatever) and then sell the stuff on Ebay.

That's very similar to what happened to an order of mine pollsdolls. (It didn't help that the 2 or 3 previous orders had been damaged either) but because of the bogus claims, I was determined that at least one staff member of Boots saw exactly what the orders arrived like, so I hauled it all back to a store.

I know this won't help Sonee btw, because Sonee's not able to return hers in time, but the manageress I saw was amazed that one item, but a badly packed item could do so much damage. She could see what had caused the damage, how badly the order had been packed (even the brown paper had damaged an item) and let me keep the offending heavy item ....

.... which then leaked all over the items I'd bought instore that day! :rotfl:

You have to laugh don't you?

Because reading some of the complaints ...(yours, Sonee's, and looking down the list, Amelia's Mum and bunbun2) ... it seems like CS are also letting us down now
