    I could murder my OH! Yesterday I had to change the 20 wk scan date as he was on a course which he couldn't leave early from. I emailed him from work asking him what dates he COULD NOT do (even put them in capitals!), he replied with dates, I rung and changed scan to suit.

    Today he emails me to say he misread my email and put the dates he CAN do!!! :mad::mad: So now I have to ring back on Monday and see whether they will change it again. Thankfully I know when my nan's funeral is so I don't have that worry hanging over me when I try change it.

    Figured I'd better put myself on the list. Though it makes it real and scary.
    As for names. We went through every list of top 100 boy/girl names ever, this year, last year. Either I hate them or he does or we know someone we hate called that. I find his ideas boring, he finds mine unsuitable. I like names like Kaitlyn or Heather. That's too Scottish for him. We found one of each we agree on, so we have stuck with them throughout.

    It was all disordered and wrong and distressing!


    I don't see why anyone would deliberately choose one of the 'top' names.. I was one of 3 with my name in my class and I hated it .. I still hate my name, it is common and boring .. My OH likes all the boring names too.. though he likes horrid names anyway.. but he picked 2 of the girls names and 1 middle name and I did the other first and 2 middle names.. so its only fair I pick the first name for this one.. he is still stuck on Tahlia/Nathalia he liked with the last 3 and I hate it and in the local accent which I do not have it sounds absolutely dreadful.

    I love smalls names meaning.. they totally contradict each other!

    For boys the only names we both like are in the top 3 boys names. I have always loved those names even before they were popular and can't seem to find an alternative we both like.

    What are your thoughts on having the same name as your friend's child? One of our friends "nicked" the only boy name we both loved (she didn't know, we hadn't told anyone and as it is one of the most popular boys names, seems likely that it would happen at some point!) so now we feel that we have to find an alternative - we only see them a few times in a year so maybe it would be OK? What are everyone's thoughts on that?

    I am now 24+1 where has the time gone?! So I will be lurking here and moving over to the other thread, hope to see you there :D

    Absolute no-no ... I'd be furious if my friend gave her child the same name as one of mine.. and I probably wouldnt ever see them again.
