Any Live In Carers

Options
Hello,

Does anyone currently work as a live in carer or has done in the past?

My question is do you get days off during the weekend and are you allowed to visit your own family throughout the day while sort of on duty for the cared for?

Thanks.

    .

How would you be providing care for a service user if you were visiting your family throughout the day?

That depends on many other factors. It's not that simple.

Nor should you (specifically you) be employing anyone - as you're asking very basic questions.

Live-in carers who I've known worked 1 week on, 1 week off

Whambam wants to be paid to look after their own family by the govt in various schemes on the benefits board. It’s not about employment as a carer...

Do not make false accusations without any evidence.

Unpaid - not sure why you think it would be paid.

Its called freedom of speech princess.

Your not like a forum mod and think you are following me about and trying to think i'm some sort of criminal carer.

I can say what I want and how brief or specific I want, don't like it dont read it princess.

Carers might get respite care; but I think you're being very optimistic to think you'll be paid for 26 weeks of not working.

Every other week would be pushing it.

I didn't say i would be paid for 26 weeks being off, how many hours would you get for family time.

There's a law of working time regulations unsure if it applied to the care industry.
