Woohoo I have reached my already revised target for this year, got another payment to make but don’t want to get ahead of the game with dec coming up so I think I will leave target as it stands.
Looking forward to setting my target for next year, I just love the period in between Christmas and new year where I sit with my books and decide what to aim for in the following year. I am hoping to be debt free April/May so I think my target next year will be part debt part savings, or part debt part mortgage reduction going to try and work out that one haha, it will be new to me.
Big thanks to all

Finally have £500 left to pay of my debt. I have paid a total of £1994 with is 79.95% since the first of January. I had hoped to clear it by now but there has been alot going on.
I have changed jobs and two months of pay not being correct but all is good for this payday lol. But I have decided to go part time but the hours pay well for health reasons, overtime is readlity available so I can choose what I want to do extra too. Also I have been saving some money aside to buy my car from the finance company.
Story is I took 3 year old car out on on finance. It was only £5000 but I didn't have the money up front when the head gasket on my old car blew. I really wanted to fix it as I have had that car for years and was fondly attached to it lol. However I found a deal with low monthly payments for 3 years with a £1000 to pay at the end (balloon payment). I decided a year into the finance deal to request a settlement figure and paid it off with a money transfer card.
I was surprised to get the card with a high limit, well to me it is anyway from a high street bank and no a sub prime lender yay. I haven't applied for credit for almost 3 years and all my credit reports are looking healthy. I have a 0% card with £3495 on it as well as some savings, admittedly no alot, plus the last of my original debt of £500 on another card.
I am pleased with how far I have come so far. So I am declaring my £1994 which is 79.95% paid off for the year. I will be joining next year to pay the last of my debt off to become debt free by xmas 2019. That's the plan. I also have the start of an emergency fund of £300 so far.
Have a great Christmas, I have done all mine on a budget, I made hampers for everyone All wrapped and ready. See you all next yearWhen life throws you a curveball, learn to catch it and throw it back! Feb Grocery Challenge/£1000 -
Hi there
Quietly celebrating in the office when I realised that I've reached my repayment target for this year - with one more set of payments to go before the end of the year- am seriously chuffed!
Thank you to everyone on this challenge for keeping me motivated - you are all inspirations.

I note someone has already mentioned 2019 - 2018 has been hard, and the above figures aren't really accurate as I've been messing about and taking a few risks but 2019 is going to be about severe discipline and I guarantee I'll be on the debt free list at some point next year0 -
