none of the above mentioned cars gentlemen.....yes I have sinned and now I have to pay the price I guess. thank you all 4 your input and advice.0

OK, that explains the premium...
Carbon tub = VERY easy to write off for relatively trivial damage.
Any damage to that black central section means a replacement - which is just not going to happen. Structural carbon is simply not repairable.0 -
My annual insurance policy was renewed in September for £1,300 - no previous speeding convictions. They have now updated my convictions (I received 3 points sp30) and have stated they will take a further £686.32 in a few weeks time there is also an extra £30.00 for administration charge. I hope this makes sense. My issue is ive already paid the initial £1300, I assume I cant claw this back to change insurers, so I assume im only left with the option of fighting the extra £686.32 they want me to now pay.0

If it is that car, got pretty lucky to have one if they are only 200 units a year for the uk, and i'm not terribly impressed with the 0-60.0

OP
So you took out the policy in September.
When did you get the points?
This is important. Did you fail to volunteer info? They ask if you have points to declare or if you are aware of any upcoming proceedings.0 -
There are definitely better insurers for that type of car, did you shop around? Did you try any specialists?0

If the date of the the SP30 is prior to renewal then they can charge you the extra, if its after then they cannot - read their policy as well.0 -
Good advice Foxy.
Sorry to say it but you and others have learnt a lesson for which shows them for what they are.
Personally i would source a new policy from a reputable company not Admiral known for stretching the boundaries, cancel and get a refund pro rata. First heard of their tactics about 7 years ago where they want you to declare going on a speed awareness course, law states you dont have to tell them.
Get out whilst you can, any loop hole theyl find a way.0 -
Definitely worth trying a specialist broker if your car, modifications or driving history are "interesting".0

Maybe luck had nothing to do with it.
And -
(a) What do you drive that a 0-60 time of 4.4 seconds doesnt impress you?
(b) 0-60 times arent the be all and end all of car ownership
(c) Whats the relevance to the thread as to whether or not the O/P's choice of car's 0-60 time impresses you or not?
(d) Do you think the O/P cares?0
