We've been asked to move the chat off the referrers board, so creating a thread here :P

Referrers board thread here:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=5946100

TLDR:
Trading212 appear to be offering a commission free dealing platform, with a current offer of a free share worth upto £100 (Most appear to be ~£20) , plus one further free share on referrals, on a deposit of £1.

For clarity, I've recieved the following (Post copied from the other thread):
I've recieved a payout, although I'm not clear whether it's from the click on the referral link I posted, or the joining bonus.

Interestingly, it's showed up as cash within the account (£12) , not a share. Awaiting further developments with interest, but a free £12 for 20s effort is not bad going really :)

Edit:
This appears to have been the joining bonus, not the referral.
I've now recieved one share in RIB software [ RIB ], valued at ~£12.21 at the time of the post, which shows up as Invite A Friend.

We've also had a (claimed) rep from the company post in a thread where I hang out elsewhere:

I doubt a specialist in highly leveraged speculative products will get a warm reception on the Savings & Investments board either.

Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. Even if they are trying to move into more traditional stock broking I wouldn't even want them having my contact details let alone any of my money.

I've withdrawn about ~£30 after selling up this morning when markets opened. Not bad for 5 minutes work.

For what it's worth, the firm is authorised with Client Money permissions: https://register.fca.org.uk/ShPo_FirmDetailsPage?id=001b000000NMi1QAAT
The last set of accounts show a healthy profit of £1m in 2017, up from £350k 2H2016. Which one might expect for a company that is essentially in the business of being a book maker.

The 'Invest' account (that's subject to this offer) would have been an ok way to invest a small amount with no trading charges, but it offers only a limited number of ETFs.

If you posted on the referrer's board then it would have been deleted due to there being quite a lot of discussion that didn't belong there.

Did you receive the two emails stating your account had been "Activated Successfully" and "Funded Successfully"?

If you registered on Friday, then the 24 hours probably doesn't include the weekend when markets are closed.

You joined at the weekend, hence the markets were closed.

I'd guess it'll turn up at some stage today :)

If not, try sending them a support message and let us know.

No idea why your post was deleted, other possibly the request to move the chat out of the referrers thread.

Even so they were happy to screw their unsophisticated retail customers with CFDs.

You can't just blame them here- People need to do due diligence on what they are investing in.
Sure, CFDs aren't clever for messing around with (~80% chance of money loss), but there are far too many people who are happy to take any gains, then scream blue murder as soon as they make a loss, despite the warnings.

I have no reason to doubt their activities are just about legitimate but I reserve the right to dislike companies that knowingly sell products that are likely to cause their customers harm.

Lot of poor reviews (although mostly about platform outages) however is it correct you need to send them a photo of passport or driving licence id as part of sign up? Giving up that sort of personal info to a company I have never heard of for about £15 worries me tbh.
    I think....
