can't help you, where I live, our car insurance is horrific, I pay £46 a month and I'm in my 40's

All you can do is call them and ask questions, have you called your own company and told them what you can get elsewhere? They might price match

It is cheaper to pay car insurance annually if you can manage it. My last car insurance payment was £188.54 which included breakdown cover with homestart through Saga. For comparison though I am in my 50s and the car is worth around £8-10k now. Low crime area though so maybe that is why it is so cheap plus having maximum no claims and no commuting cover any more as I am retired.

Asking your own company to price match is a good idea. Look at what type of cover you get but if fully comprehensive then I would go for the cheapest.

Cannot sleep for fretting about money. My thoughts have turned to Christmas and how ludicrously expensive that can be. According to my spreadsheet, I have the grand sum of £90 to spend on Christmas. Am heartened by the success of DD’s £37 birthday party. How are you going to be doing Christmas this year?
I have enough random cards around so I can use those up. Last year I gave family cards to my mum and I think she put them inside hers and sent them.
I will be knocking our advent bags on the head this year with a small gift inside. Tree was ridiculously expensive last year at £45. Will not engage with Secret Santa at work or any kind of work socialising. Planning on going to my parents for Christmas Day this year after 2 miserable Christmas Days at home with my husband who does not celebrate Christmas.
Will buy presents for mum and DD only. I really massively enjoy panto - I can get family specials for DD and I for £10 each. Last year I did a Christmas spreadsheet- I will look at that again for spends which can be eliminated. Less is most definitely more. The simpler the better.

I tend to start my shopping at the end of August just picking up bits along the way as most shops have sales to clear space for the Xmas stock coming in

So far I've put a deposit on a keyboard in our local cash converters so need to pay this up by the 8th December for my daughter should have been £200 but they were selling it for £50 so I've only got £40 to go :D

Also I got my son a superhero figure reduced in Tesco

We are having Xmas at home family members will bring the food they want to bring so hopefully we will get a full Xmas meal out of it hehe xx

I've not got as much as I usually have at this time of year but I'm concentrating on getting my credit card to zero then I'll deal with Xmas properly
