Thursday already. Feeling much more settled in my new job now. Everyone is so nice and the majority of the office are, shall we say, more mature. The work starts in earnest next week though when the director I'm PA to is back. They're really pleased with me already which is nice. It's quite an old fashioned office but in a nice way, like stepping back in time a few years. I think I've fallen on my feet with this job, feel very lucky
Spent my Mr S gift voucher today on the 25% off Tu Clothing, got some skinny jeans and a t shirt. Ended up getting Mr SA an England t shirt too which he's over the moon with and saving for the World Cup (yawn).
Made a date to meet up with my old team for a drink next Friday, looking forward to that.Christmas Savings 2024 £252.38/£600 April NSD:2 April Surveys £0 -

Sounds really good. I now have a picture in my head of you sitting at one of those huge old typewriters with a spike of paperwork to one side and horn-rimmed glasses perched on your nose. Not sure I want to lose that image! Oh, and a boss who wears a top hat... and a 14 year-old office gopher lad in a uniform with brass buttons.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. Happy Saturday folks
Can't believe I stayed the same at WW. It's nothing short of a miracle after all the wine, cake and meals out just lately. Need to rein it in now and get back on track. Same can be said for the finances.
DGS is 2 today, they didn't come to see us today as they were taking him out. I suspect they're probably doing something with his GF's family as her brothers and sister have young children. I can't blame them it's pretty boring at our house in comparison.
After a cloudy start today has been glorious, hope the rest of the bank holiday is the same. No plans other than catch up with stuff and relax in the sun. The past few weeks have been so full on I need some chill time.Christmas Savings 2024 £252.38/£600 April NSD:2 April Surveys £0 -
