Day 2 done Day off tomorrow then back to it Thursday - going to be sitting with different teams in the office to find what they do, should be quite interesting. The past couple of days have been fairly busy but relaxed, I'm sure it will become more manic when I've settled in though.
Still missing my old team, hope they won't forget me when they're arranging drinks/meals. Everyone is really nice though and they stop by my desk to say hello. Unbelievably two people from my WW group are in my new office!
Anyway so far so good.Christmas Savings 2024 £252.38/£600 April NSD:2 April Surveys £0 -

Evening folks
Had a lovely day off and catch up over lunch with my retired friends. One of them has been really poorly with cancer, still having treatment but you'd never know it, she looks great.
Have been keeping a look out for a while for a pair of sandals that are comfortable, have a heel but not too high, hide my bunion, are sturdy enough so I don't go over on my ankle, a neutral colour and look good. Saw some that fitted the bill but very expensive at £79. Nipped very quickly into Shoe Zone this morning on the way to the station, saw a pair that ticked all the boxes £12.99. Bought immediately Really pleased with them they're gorgeous and comfy.
Back to work tomorrow but long weekend coming up with a forecast of warm sunshineChristmas Savings 2024 £252.38/£600 April NSD:2 April Surveys £0 -

The plan is to have my bunion done sometime next year. Getting sick of not being able to get comfortable footwear plus embarrassed to go barefoot anywhere. Weird how it's only one foot that's affected. When I broke my ankle I jokingly said to the surgeon I wanted my bunion doing but didn't want 6 weeks off my feet. He said he'd do it at the same time as the ankle op - pity it was the wrong foot LOL!Christmas Savings 2024 £252.38/£600 April NSD:2 April Surveys £0

SA great sandal buy , you need comfy shoes.
If you have your bunion done , I have had both my feet done, so will gladly offer you a friendly ear if you have any questions.
The only thing I would say is give yourself an 8 week window for your op and recovery. I had a toe straightened as well with mine , but 8 weeks I wasn't driving for .
Enjoy the sun.0 -
