    Sipgate dropped their own app on 1st April 2013. There is a built in VoIP App in some versions of 2.3:


    "menu button" ->     "Call Settings" ->"Call feature settings" -> "Internet Call Settings" -> "Accounts."

    zoiper softphone app should enable you to connect to any sip voip service.

    Yet another Betamax clone. Does anyone question why they are always shifting their name for the same service? I plan to never use Betamax again having been conned by them once.

    By the way, 50 mins free UK landline AND mobile calls per month via an Ovivo SIM

    Which you pay a one off fee of £20 for , and they give you £15 of free credit once you’ve activated your SIM card. The remaining £5 covers the SIM card and administration costs.

    We use a N300A base station and two A510 handsets, and it works great, so yes - at least the A510 are OK - suspect many others in the "A" series would be too.

    I can't tell you how pleased I am with this solution - since we started using this in September last year, we have saved at least £50 compared to the way we used to phone. The VOIP provider we use (Localphone) has rates to overseas and UK that are lower then even 18185, 1899 and the 0844xxxxxx numbers!!

    Call quality has also been excellent, which is a real change compared to when I tried using my Android phone and a SIP app to call over our home WiFi (also using Localphone, so it is the Gigaset that has made the difference, not the VOIP provider).

    Can highly recommend the Gigaset N300A, especially since it makes it so easy to keep your landline for incoming calls and also to make e.g. 0800 and 0845 calls on, using the same handsets.

    P.S. If you are signing up with Localphone look over at the referrers board.
