Transferwise Debit Card

Options
I have a Transferwise Mastercard debit card.
I have loaded it with euro's in the UK.
I have tried to withdraw euro's from the card in Spain & every ATM that I have been to has tried to charge me a fee to withdraw euro's.
I have pressed the 'Without Conversion' message on all the ATM screens when asked.
Anybody know why I cant get euros without charge ??
Am I missing something somewhere ??

Keep trying different banks, most now charge an off network withdrawal fee.

I think there was a thread on here with lists of some that still do not charge.

Yeah, it's only at TransferWise's end that they don't charge you. Individual ATM owners still can.

It's the same as if you went to a charging ATM here to withdraw sterling, they wouldn't - can't, even - waive that charge.

Yep, because it's a charge levied by the ATM owner not by your bank, who may themselves separately charge.

As DesG says you have to either pay the ATM owner's fee or hunt for a fee-free one.

No Banka March or Liberbank near me.
La Caixa bank is about the only one I have not tried.
I have a La Caixa ATM near me so will give it a try.

In Spain I just try to pay by card everywhere to avoid the ATM fees. Just be ready for the DCC question!
