Think positively, if it's meant to be it will be :)

Our development put each phase up by about £5k on most properties (very upsetting as we have bought in Phase 6 ) but I know they are all different. Who is the builder?

  • They put the house we wanted up by £15k. So annoying. We decided on the 3 bed and we got it!! Woop.
Only problem is they have put a ridiculous exchange deadline on considering it's Christmas next week :(

Don't worry too much about the exchange date! We reserved a plot pretty much this time last year with a 28 day exchange deadline. Our house was sold within a week, but the developers delayed as their paperwork wasn't ready! We didn't exchange until mid March. As long as you're not dragging your heels and doing all you need to do then they won't mind.
  • I hope so!! I'm really starting to worry about the exchange deadline. Our housing association are useless and lieterally just ignore my emails :(
The deadline is 16th Jan. They reckon they gave us an extra week because of Christmas but our solicitors is closed for over a week over Christmas!

I got a £500 Christmas bonus at work. It's twice as much as we got last year! I'm going to put £400 straight onto cc1. I'm going to leave £100 in my bank to cover the last few Christmas presents and it should help me out with the long wait between pay in December to January pay day.
One of the terms on our new mortgage is that I clear my debt before we complete! Ha! The only way this could be possible is that we will be moving in with my parents for a few months between exchange and completion. Not ideal but they won't expect much money from us so could really help me out.

    So excited for Christmas!!
