Lotteries are a tax on anyone who doesnt understand mathematics!!
Same as most casino games, most slot games, most card game etc.0 -
It seems as though there are more than 50 million postcodes in UK, so the chances of winning are pretty slim anyway!!

If the answer to my question is on the postcode lottery website then I apologise because I can't find what I'm looking for.
A friend of mine told me that he was told that you can play any postcode you wish, you don't have to live at that address and you can have up to 6 tickets per household. Can someone clarify this for me please0 -

There is absolutely nothing I can find in the terms and conditions that states that you can only play the postcode of where you reside. In fact, I was always under the impression that you were limited to 4 tickets per household. In fact, it's six tickets per person. My friend has said he's already spoken to the postcode lottery and you can play another postcode. If you think about it logically some people may wish to carry on playing an old postcode where they used to live.0

2019 and still the same situation it seems as 2012 - I've registered to play and expected emails to advise I'd won (which I have, twice) However, it seems they only use emails to either try and sell you more or to send a general email with results - They leave it to you to find if you won and claim. Furthermore, when you visit the site to log in, it has no option to do so - navigate around a while and you come across a notice saying that people have suggested a number of improvements so they are not allowing anyone to log on "at the moment". I joined several months ago, and apart from joining up, it gave the same message then. Something stinks here......
I'd suggest it needs looking at by some watchdog or other as it appears they are attempting to circumvent payouts - I wonder what happens to unclaimed cash & how much there is?
They say, in some kind of defence, that they state you need to register bank details with them to pay out - but thats not clear either - it suggests you need to do this for payouts north of £3000. Even so, emails are available to them - its how you register - why would they not use that to tell you how lucky you've been and perhaps you'd like to buy some more tickets (or even invest your winnings in a good cause perhaps?)0 -

A friend of mine with no internet, e mail or anything technical just a basic mobile and landline.
She had a phone call telling her she had won a prize, turned out it was £32,000, a brilliant amount. I imagine you could request this way of contact.0 -
