However, I think you miss the point - but I bet if I looked at your vast replies it would be full of cleverness, wouldn't it.0 -

I think it only seems to apply to accounts where you dont pay by Direct Debit - I pay mine via Paypal and there are other methods. Nice to hear they def do payout unprompted.0 -

The point I haven't missed is that I don't expect everything to be done for me.
I'd bet that there's a vast difference in our ages and that's why our expectations differ.
My post was a simple observation and I didn't feel it warranted your snippy reply.
But Hey! Ho!
On the subject of my 'vast replies, just to put things into perspective:
I have an average of just over 5 posts per day over my 12 years as a member of MSE.
Not too much more than your 4 posts since yesterday evening.0 -
Not sure if these are legit or not...back on the 6th of June, my postcode came up in the £30k draw...Lucky me.
Well not so, we are 26 days past I still have not received any money, and contact is less than impressive on their behalf. So I ring them up to try and confirm that I am indeed a winner, and a very helpful young lady tells me that their system is down, and cannot confirm that I was a winner however the postcode I play from (not where I reside) is indeed a £30k winner, and would ring me back within an hour to confirm, so 3 hours later I ring them back, as no call as of yet. At which point I am told that I am indeed a winner and my money would be paid in within 28 days, but would be sooner as I paid by DD, which bless her, a confirmation e-mail popped up in my in-box with all the details within minutes. So after a week I ring back and speak with another chap who is full of apologies that his colleague hadn't explained the next steps:
For prize wins over £15,000 we are required to verify our prize winners. We do this by using Experian Bank Wizard. I have been unable to successfully verify the bank details for your account. Due to this, we require two forms of identification so that we can get your prize winnings to you. In some cases we find that a change in certain details such as address can impact the validation of your account. Please accept my apologies that verification was not explained further in my colleague's previous email.
OK I guess I shouldn't now think this is weird, but Experian Bank Wizard verifies who you are by your bank details, I assume for money laundering and the likes, this will be the same account they take my payment from and also pay the last tenners into that I won...but needless to say I sent my ID as requested on E-Mail, and surprisingly didn't get any response, so the day after I decided to ring them, the young man was very polite, but alas he couldn't help as it was now sat with the resolution team, so I asked if any issues were apparent, was the information I sent through acceptable/visible, sadly he couldn't he help as it was sat with the resolution team, could you get one of the resolution team to contact me, yes he would try but as they were all working from home, it may take some time (Why didn't anybody tell me this before?) So another day passed I tried to ring, a few times and each time sat listening to the theme tune, for a decent while, before it cut me off....Great!
Then that afternoon I received an Email from the resolution team, informing me that the details I had sent them had been passed onto the finance team...surely now my monies would appear in my bank, which wouldn't half be handy at the moment, as I have just been made redundant....and still nothing.
I have Emailed every day, each one copying the other ones, and trying to be a little more forceful without being awful...still nothing, calls made each day, just play out once I've been put through to the right department , and listened to the bl**dy awful music on loop.
So what do I or can I do next?1 -
They must spend a fortune on advertising they're never off the TV."Imagination is more Important than knowledge"0

Just as a matter of interest: does anyone have the faintest clue what's the matter with MSE's IT these days following on from its unneeded 'improvement'?Specifcally, the idiotic message I've now received twice (including just now, on this thread) when replying to a post by quoting and answering it:Body is 1 character too shortThe text appears over a pink background. It's absolutely meaningless and MSE must know that and yet the site managers continue to approve its use regardless of the fact that it's pure nonsense and manifestly unhelpful.0

So what do I or can I do next? It’s basically a complaint it’s taken 26 days (and counting) to be paid £30k for winning postcode lottery 😂
Personally I would be quite happy to win £30k and would be a bit patient and wait for my money to arrive!0 -
