I've now made a huge pasta dish with what I could find in fridge, freezer! Could be eating that for a while too!
TCB money of just over £7 hit account today so just paid that off one of the cc. Have also sold a bundle of clothes so will be £10 richer when they are collected this evening. Also frees up a little space on my landing so a win-win!
Today could be interesting, have had 4 hours sleep!!Apr 2024 - part 1 - £30,337 part 2 - £24,811 Total - £55,148 43 months to go!0 -

End of the week arrived and am getting slightly more sleep! Also managing to make our money work as hard for us as we can! Have managed to pay £200 off cc which funded car repairs and make an extra payment off one of the others.
DH did lots of overtime last week so have offered to give him money to get his I-pod repaired. It was cracked but I managed to drop it on one of my runs a while ago.
Have budgeted for food and petrol the rest of the week so another frugal shop is needed. We haven't used all the food we meal planned last week which should let us keep spends low this week. Last night had the wine we bought for NYE so even the wine is lasting!
Should have enough funds the end of the week to transfer what is left over to cc. I told DH last night what I had done with wages and I think we were both shocked how much of our income is currently going on cc repayments. Upside is that we didn't move and don't have the 35 year mortgage to go with it!Apr 2024 - part 1 - £30,337 part 2 - £24,811 Total - £55,148 43 months to go!0 -
Today I need to
1) check email off car insurance company - I sent NCD to them
2) apply for DS nursery place
3) email tutor of a work related course I am doing
4) make a list of holiday codes in case we book
5) take children to soft play party
6) do housework (achieved more easily if DH does number 5!)Apr 2024 - part 1 - £30,337 part 2 - £24,811 Total - £55,148 43 months to go!0 -
