Thanks for your post GreenT, it definitely needs sorting. There's only a tiny section of the rail she uses so what a waste of space. It was when she started school I realised she hardly wore her day clothes anymore! Tends to be into pj's after school. Will definitely tackle this!
DH been paid and money been allocated to where it needs to go. Have managed to pay another £109 off our normal cc which funded the car repairs. This isn't included in our WIOTW figure as it's a t3sc0 one we use for points. Might as well get something back from our astronomical nursery fees!
However, have made a few extra cc payments too. For the week I have left us with £20 cash and about £20 in the bank in case it's needed. If we are doing ok midweek I will pay it off cc.
Need to get a meal in the slow cooker this morning and clean the utility room and bathrooms. I had a grand plan that my house would be sparking while I was off work! Hasn't seemed to happen.

Thanks BW.
Argh, my current account is empty again! Top us shop was £23.50 but bank charges have gone out so that's it until Friday. We do still get a tiny amount of TC (£29 ish towards our £700 nursery fees) and that will be paid Tuesday so will keep us out of OD.
Have plenty of food (except fruit)and have got ingredients to make muffins which I will use in lunch boxes for DD this week.
Am continuing to list items on selling page and had some interest. Have a big bundle ready for charity shop. Really don't mind sending clothes here as it's a barnad0s shop and they write to us to tell us what they have made from selling our items. The figures are quite surprising!
Just read on Pavlov's diary of goals being split in categories for the month and it seems a really good idea. Makes things manageable without being overwhelming.
Right. Gotta dash, charity shop run to do and have a little project to do with dd

Charity shop run done and 2 big bags donated, resisted picking up any bargains when I was I there as it was just more of what we already have-like playdoh!
Did a small food shop of £17 (mainly fresh stuff to see us through the week). This has come out of next weeks grocery budget though as the £20 i hoped to spend surprisingly didn't work out!
This morning have made a big batch of soup for me to take to work. Also have some rolls in the freezer so that's lunches sorted. DH generally takes leftovers of our evening meal. I will see DD will have sandwiches as have everything in that we need for those.
Made myself a little target of reducing cc total by £501 in January. Really need to start making a dent in the balance.
Also sold some items so that's £6 in the pot (unknown target of savings, potentially holiday!!)June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -

Have you enjoyed it? Last episode bit of a shocker! We have just watched season 4, was last episode just after Christmas. Maybe can catch it on more4?
This season was brilliant!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Ok. So back in some sort of routine today. I am back to work but DH off as there's no school. Saves us a day of childcare fees too. We both have a few a/l days to play around with and will use these to our advantage. £35 a day is a lot of money and am going to save this as many times as I can! All childcare budgeted for at maximum costs so this money can definitely be paid off WIOTW figure. Just got to watch out for those 5 week months!
Meal plan going well, not really needed to use it properly yet as picked up a whole chicken for £2.49 and so far made a roast, had curry and enough for another roast. There's still a bit left too. Really wish I had known about this idea years ago.
Have a good day everyone

Had about £7 TCB money Land in account today so that with a Tilly tidy saw an extra £7.77 paid off the credit card. Have also requested another £7ish so hopefully can OP that by the end of the week. If we can have a few more NSD there should be a hit of extra cash to OP too

Use of food going well too. Beans on toast for me this evening! Got a bit lost on the way home as suddenly decided to take a different route I assumed was in the direction I needed it to be. Unfamiliar country lanes in the dark are not good! By the time I switched my sat nav on I had rescued myself! Got home a little later than planned after this.
What a shame it's too early in the week for a glass of wine!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
I was shocked.
Where did you watch season 4?0 -
Are you sure it's not just the end of a very long week :rotfl:.
What a shame it's too early in the week for a glass of wine!A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
