Hi Seasidegal, just wanted to say its always worth contacting customer services at Fitbit to say you have lost it and can they trace it. They have been known to replace broken ones out of warranty for example, tell them it was in the original strap/case and it was a bit loose and they may surprise you. Its worth a try at least.

ETA I lost one of mine (Zip) at work ages ago, and it eventually turned up months later on a cardigan that I hadn't worn for ages, hanging off the coat hanger straps inside. It also worth trying to sync it before it goes flat in case it has fallen into something near your desk or in your bag, etc. I knew mine was in my car for that reason and did eventually track it down. I have a watch one now which is easier to keep track of.

Thanks guys for the Fitbit comments. And thanks especially to redofromstart for that tip. I will certainly try their customer services and let you know how I got on.

Hadn't seen DSis and her family for a couple of weeks so went over there yesterday evening and stayed the night. Some of her OH's family was there as well so we all had a jolly time nattering away. We got takeaways for dinner (my share £15), and DSis produced a rather moreish peanut butter and chocolate cheesecake (a real stick to your ribs job!) and quite a few bottles of Oyster Bay and er more Oyster Bay......:o

So got up this morning and we all devoured a full English! I'm afraid the 3lbs I lost yesterday morning when I weighed in has probably zoomed back on! She gave me a M&S linguine and scallops ready meal that had to be used up today so I'll have that for supper tonight.

I'm seeing a friend for a drink tomorrow night after work so will have to really hit the 5:2 diet next week from Tuesday onwards!

Have also ordered two pairs of jeggings (olive and burgundy) and a reduced price light quilted grey jacket (£14!) from Marisota - plus I had a 20% off code.:j:j I also ordered my sun hat from a specialist sun protective clothes website. This I'm afraid was rather dearer - £35 but it's 50 factor protective for the old noggin and it's rather fabulous and fedora shaped so that I won't look like some nutty old archaeologist from a bad Mummy movie! :D

Sis dropped and Dnephew dropped me off a while ago so just finishing my coffee and uncannyscot's virtual cake and will now go and catch up with diaries!

You're making me feel hungry Seaside with your talk of cheesecake, yum. Love the idea of you as an archaeologist in The Mummy :rotfl: I'm sure the hat will be worth the money, protection from the sun is worth paying for.

No I don't have a diary at the moment although thinking of starting one, maybe, to keep me on the straight and narrow :D.

I was wondering because I was looking at your signature and you have certainly made a massive dent in your debt!

Today I had my MRI scan and X-rays. Thank goodness only my lower body had to be fed into that awful MRI tunnel to check my foot! I could have sworn that my consultant said that they were going to scan and X-ray both feet, but they were adamant that the notes said scan my left foot and X-ray both feet so I hope I don't have to go back. They gave me a disc though of the scan and X-rays in case I wanted a second opinion! Apparently I can view it through my PC which I'm going to do though I won't have a clue as to what I'm looking for! Will now wait to hear from consultant.

So I was late into work and had a mad rush before lunch as a client unexpectedly wanted a meeting and I had to prepare the reports.

I brought my lunch in but it was my turn on the twice weekly lunchtime lattes today. But those lovely, lovely Pret people let me off without paying today ❤️!

Tonight I met my friend after work - £30 each for wine and nuts to nibble! I won't miss these City prices when I finally retire! My friend retired from the City last year. She always said she wanted to retire at 58 and she has done so! Her husband is still working and she drew a reasonable final salary pension plus employee share options. She is so happy and manages to fit in so much in her day now - but enjoyable worthwhile things as she says. I'm quite green with envy!:(. Couldn't get a taxi when from the station to home tonight so I walked. Annoying but it saved me £5!

Given that your friend is now retired, could you meet up outside the city where prices are a tad cheaper? Or would that cost in travel? Tonight I'm meeting a friend for dinner. It's steak night with two steaks from a choice of three varieties, two sides and two sauces all for £20. She'll have a bottle of wine for which corkage of £1.30 will be charged while I shall stick with water.
