Nice relaxing day today. Went to Aldi this morning and picked up some veg/fruit and eggs - put the trainers on and had a sunny walk through the park there and back. Got home though and realised I'd picked up a jar of parsley rather than oregano!
When I got back I did the ironing and sorted through my scarf drawer to see if I had any to go to dress agency. Picked out three that I had never worn. Was listening to Dave Ramsey on the iPad. He nearly had a fit when someone called in and said they had $480,000 in student loans to become a dentist and should they still rent or get a mortgage to buy a house! Did he rant afterwards!
Quiet week hopefully at work this week. Back on the 5:2 diet to try and lose some more lbs for the holiday.

I didn't get Cashback on the railcard Scott as I didn't think you could and still get the discount I got. To get the card for £10 instead of £30 I have to show my season ticket at my station's booking office and fill in a form. Mind you Railcard do have their own website that is linked to quidco so I'll check on there first next time to see if you can get the discount and Cashback.
Gym session went well but I'm suffering with my foot a bit at the moment. I had plantar fasciitis a couple of years ago and it flared up again when I started upping my cardio with my trainer. I could hardly put my heel down on the ground for a few days a couple of weeks ago! I bought some more supportive trainers and it is much better but still gives me a few twinges. I'm seeing a podiatrist soon but I don't know whether he will be able to get my foot back to normal permanently. So no jogging just brisk walking at the moment.
My field notes arrived in the post today for my holiday so I'm feeling quite excited now!:j
Anyway it was a NSD today. I've got to pick up some bits at Aldi tomorrow but I did my monthly shop last week so I shouldn't be spending that much.

I am a member of quidco and top cashback its amazing some of the weird things you can get cashback on. Buying anything online always check cashback sites first.

Too true Scott!:)
Hi reality - I've already posted on your thread tonight but congratulations again on your fantastic news! :T
Today wasn't so bad spending wise. Took my lunch into work. My friend who I work with and I have decided that we're going to have a Pret coffee at lunchtime twice a week - I'll pay Mondays and she'll do Fridays - so £4.30 today.
When I got home I had a bill for £200 from a consultant I saw a few weeks ago as for a while my nose and ears have been feeling very blocked in the mornings. I have medical insurance through work but you have to pay the first £200 worth of treatment as excess in any one year. I have budgeted for it so that's ok. The funny thing is though that since I've cleaned up my diet I have felt a lot better and when he checked me out with the camera down the nose (ugh!) etc, he said I was clear and he couldn't find anything amiss. So a good diet may be the answer after all!

Well rather an upsetting day yesterday in some respects. I had a bit of a bust up with my boss. He's lovely and generous in lots of ways but can have a bit of a personality change when he's had a drink. He went out for a long lunch yesterday with some of his chums from work - I had an internal meeting that went on for a bit and when I came out they had got back but he was in a mood. There's lots of political undercurrents running at our firm at the moment and he and a few of his colleagues aren't too happy on the ways things are being handled - I think they go out sometimes and wind one another up. Anyway I had made a mistake on something which he spotted when he got back and when I returned he had a right go and swore at me. It wasn't anything that I couldn't have and did rectify easily but he had to make a big thing of it in front of everyone I don't take easily to being sworn at and flew back at him. He calmed down a bit but I sat and fumed for the rest of the afternoon  I had a gym session booked and I nearly didn't go and bought fish and chips instead on the way home! Anyway I did go and didn't buy the fish and chips! I had a good session where I imagined the weights were his head when I dropped them!
Anyway he was out of the office today and I felt a bit calmer!
Just over £17 monthly interest/Cashback arrived in my Santander 123 account so winged that to the Kitchen Fund.
Stocked up on toiletries in Boots - shampoo, conditioner (three for two) and spent some Advantage points on two bottles of my Listerine mouthwash which they had on offer as well.
I've also joined my first survey site after reading about Scott's successes on his thread - it's the Prolific Academic site. Up to to tonight I have earned the princely sum of £1.10!:T

Hi SG
Thanks for popping into my diary. I haven't posted myself in almost a month by the looks of it. It's amazing how your routine can be thrown out of whack so quickly.
I'm so sorry to hear about your boss. There is no excuse and swearing at someone at work is just a huge no from me!
Would you consider a move or not?
Hope today will be better.

Hi SSG,
I don't think there are any circumstances where it's appropriate to swear at someone at work. Even if he's usually lovely, I'm sorry he felt like that was appropriate and I'm sorry you bore the brunt of his foul mood!!Mortgage: £83,000

Your boss was totally out of order and it was unprofessional of him to drink too much at lunchtime then go back to work. He owes you an apology that's for sure. Good job he doesn't work where I do, he'd be in big trouble. Don't let him get to you.
Anyway glad you took it out on the weights and not the fish and chipsI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1 -
