I haven't done it by being clever, my DH drew out his pension so we could make full and final offers. All accepted except one creditor so far, who we are negotiating with. Hoping the debt will go down to zero before Christmas. Worth it to be debt free though, as it would have taken 92 years otherwise according to Stepchange

Glad the MRI is over and done with, Mr SA hates them.
When Inwent to London earlier this year I was in High Holbourn and thought the prices were quite reasonable there. I suppose it varies depending on whether you're in a tourist hot spot.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1 -

They have been known to replace broken ones out of warranty for example, tell them it was in the original strap/case and it was a bit loose and they may surprise you. Its worth a try at least.
I emailed Fitbit's customer services yesterday and they sent me a nice email giving me various options on how to track down the device - syncing, using a Bluetooth app etc - but to no avail. It's definitely not in work or at home. They did say if these options did not work to email them again, which I will do and see what they say.
Re: meeting up locally rather than in the City - my friend doesn't live near me - we use completely different rail lines to come into London and none of the other connections are convenient. She was up in London that afternoon on a shopping trip so it made sense to meet up near to where I work as her main rail station home leaves from the City. It's just unfortunate that because I work in the financial district prices are higher. There are cheaper options but they tend to get packed out and we like to sit down and have a nice natter and hear one another speak (see - getting old!). TBH I only have two friends left that work in London - all the rest have either retired or now work locally to them. One of my friends left in London works on the same desk as me and as we spend quite a few lunchtimes together we don't bother after work. My other friend works in the West End and meets me in the City because it's on her way home. I suppose I justify it because as I don't go out in the evening after work that much compared to when I was younger, I don't spend as much as before!
Went to the gym last night - didn't get back till 9pm so just caught up with Bake-Off while eating my dinner and went straight to bed!
PA surveys are nearly up to £20! :j I had a bit of a lull at the weekend and on Monday, but they've started coming through again yesterday. I've also joined You Gov and One Poll. I find I can do them on my phone whilst commuting!

What does PC stand for? I only do You Gov at the moment cos I got so sick of answering questions and then being told I wasn't suitable, it's not my fault I never go anywhere or buy anything :mad:Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Not sure what survey brizzle means - I find the Prolific Academic (PA for short) website which was recommended by Scott is a good one and lots of people on the board seem to like it as well. Try it and see what you think.
Fitbit customer services emailed me today to see how I'd got on with their suggestions. I replied and said unfortunately they didn't work and could they suggest anything else. I'm trying hard for this free Fitbit!:D
Ordered my boss's annual subscription to an industry magazine today. £175 which I put on my Amex Cashback card and will claim back on expenses! Other spends were birthday card and book of stamps (from the Gifts Budget) and a donation to Scott's cousin's giving site where she is raising funding for her bobsleighing as the GB ladies team has had their funding slashed. See his thread if you want to find out more.
Not long been back from the gym so now going to have my dinner and so to bed!
