    By some not all.

    Complete disregard for the law.

Coming out of side junctions without stopping.

Pedaling through red lights, I've nearly hit one. I had a green light and someone decided to pedal through a red light. Of course it would've been my fault if I'd hit him!!

No lights or reflective clothing on in these dark nights.

    Flashing rear lights.

Before anybody says anything I ride a bike to work.

Tonight? Cyclist all in black & no lights, cycling the wrong way down an A road whilst texting.

As a motorist, I can't stand cyclists or pedestrians.

When cycling I despise both drivers and those on foot.

Whilst walking I'm appalled by all vehicles, powered by fuel or muscle.

Otherwise I'm pretty easy to get on with.

As the OP says, to give a balanced view as the cyclists have had their say about motorists!

Then the original thread needs moved to the motoring section?

Agreed. Why ask motorists views in the Public Transport & Cycling board?. Why start two threads relating to both motoring and cycling immediately after cycling is removed from the motoring board?

    Hi,

To give a balanced view I thought I'd start covering the other side of the fence.

I've fixed that for you - must try harder!

Cyclists - Pay no road tax but expect the same rights as motor vehicle users

Are you really that stupid you don't understand what taxes pay for the maintenance of our roads?

Cyclists - Consistently ride side by side just to be a pain the !!!

Feel free to read the Highway Code, you may find it enlightening.

Cyclists - Get in the way.

Personally when I'm driving, cars, buses, vans and lorries get in my way alot more than bicycles do.

It's excellent, as it identifies the mentally challenged to the rest of the Forum. Keep up the good work.

I ride to work sometimes too, and agree with all those.

It's because of dickheads on bikes doing all these things, that the responsible cyclists get a bad name. We're tarred with the same brush.

And then you get people with attitudes shown on this thread thinking it applies to all cyclists.

Cyclists have zero emissions so would pay zero VED.
I don't know, the guy I'm sat next to at work oozes emissions in the morning just after he's arrived whilst he's waiting for the shower to become free...
