Been an ok day here - no rain but not very sunny.
We took my mum to see a specialist today and she has now been diagnosed with a mixed picture of vascular/alzheimers disease. They are starting her on tablets which will hopefully help. She has been going to see people for nearly 8 years now. It was a long stressful meeting so I feel quite tired out now. DD went with me which was good.
Managed to have a walk down town after lunch and have got all our washing done so just the dreaded ironing now. It can wait until tomorrow!
Going to do a few comps now.

    The Big Bluebell Watch

The UK is home to a significant proportion of the world’s
population of bluebells. We need your help to find out where they
    are.

Be part of our most accurate bluebell survey ever.

Between now and the end of May add your sighting to our online
recording tool. Whether you’ve only got one or many, we’d love
    them to be included.

Your records will help to monitor the status of the UK’s bluebells
over time and will help us to secure the future of native bluebells
    and their woodland home.

and put your sightings on the map.

Alfie thank you for your post just been reading the links. You must be very proud indeed. I remember following the Military Wives programme with Garith and now they have lots of them across the country.

Do hope you are successful with the trees that would be great. I was just thinking it must be blue bell time soon. We used to have a few in the garden here but they disappeared.

Well yesterday we took GS to visit DS and went for lunch at Dover Castle. Despite the mist we had a good time and all four of us made it to the top of the keep. DGS kept stopping to see DH was keeping up. We didn!!!8217;t stay long at the top as it was very cold. Lots of people there especially families. Thought of you Sheils. As we were making the best of the weather. GS slept for short while in car yesterday so is here late today DD had trouble waking him up. Another dull day here.

Hope everyone has a good day. Be lucky.

    Good Morning,

Thanks for kind words about mum. She was diagnosed about 8 years ago with mild cognitive disorder and has gradually got a bit worse. She tends to lose and forget a few things and occaisonally repeats herself but is ok otherwise so if tablets can keep her stable she should be ok. I think she is probably lucky to be given them fairly early. She had problems with her hearing aids and the Dr was Indian so I think she came across worse than she is! She is 77 and dad is 84 and they have their fair share of health problems. Lots of people are a lot worse though.

Hope you get your trees Alfie.

Glad one of your hedgehogs has appeared FF, hope the other one is ok too.

Never been to Dover Castle leanfun. Only been to Kent once when my sister lived near Ashford. We were impressed with Caernarfon Castle last week although I think I preferred Conwy one.

Forgot to say, all our Forsythia is blooming away now. We have bluebells appearing too so hopefully will have a nice show of them later.

Must get on. Good luck all.
