Thanks Pearla, i've subscribed to that, looks interesting!

    Well, a quick update.
All xmas shopping done, we have just bought a few gifts for each other/parents/children.

We are looking forward to our break from work, we finish 1pm xmas eve, return 4th January, i saved a few holiday days, cant wait:j

We have done so well in 2015- paid our mortgage off, paid for new kitchen/carpets/painting/- paid off £7000 loan to parents, became totally mortgage and debt free :T

From December pay we hope to save £2000 towards p.bonds, we hope from now until moving home to save at least £2500 a month to repay savings borrowed to pay off the mortgage.

2016 is going to be eventful for us we hope- selling this house, getting a mortgage , then getting our new home in a more rural location, we are so excited:j

After xmas im going to get the old calculator out, and set to work on our frugal budget and savings plan for 2016, i cant wait to get stuck in to our last few months of savings before our move- hopefully August/September :)

Hi Lucky! yes, we plan to be about 20 minutes drive to nearest small market town, in fact maybe a bit less, we cant start looking until we know what mortgage we can get. We plan to see a broker towards the end of March, then will plan further :)

Hubby and i are back to work today :( We have had a really relaxing xmas break, and are geared up now to complete our schedule for 2016, the first milestone will be March, when we plan to see a broker to work out what mortgage we will be able to get..

March/ April should see us getting this house on the market, we are thinking 6 months to sell, and then hopefully we will be moving to our new home in a more rural area :)

Up to now we are doing well with savings and budgeting this month, and i'm aiming for £2500 into premium bonds pot 28th of this month..

This week we bought £500 bonds, this was from xmas money, e.bay sales, and tuck shop money made, current account sweeps etc :j

So our new balance in premium bond savings is £5500

We have stuck to our healthy eating plan, and our first week weigh in was really good- i lost 3 pounds, hubby lost 6 pounds !! :T

This coming week we will continue to eat well and stick to our budget, meal plan, and watch and save every penny to save as much as we can towards our dreams :)

    Today ive done the following-

    Worked 6.30-9.30, £30 overtime!

Cleaned the house-except our bedroom- hubby in bed after his night shift

Had an healthy breakfast of sultana bran, and had 4 crumpets out of freezer for lunch that needed using from last year :)

This afternoon, we will have muddy dog walk, followed by shower/bath, then its treat night.:T

I got the £5 meal deal from tesco, i got a large stuffed crust chicago town pizza, mcain spicy wedges, cajun breaded mushrooms(daughter will use these at a later date), and tub of reduced fat carte do'or ice cream dessert, these should come to over £10, so a bargain! other options are available, healthy steamfresh veg etc as sides, and breaded chicken etc

I made £10.60 today in tuck shop sales at work, which will be added to our savings :) and i had a no spend day!

We are really excited for 2016, our rural dream gets closer every day! :j

Not a lot to report, other than we are on target to save another £2500 to buy p.bonds on pay day according to my reckonings, if we do, that will be a total of £8000 in the kitty :j

We continue to keep up our savings by- meal planning, and keeping to our budget for food / heating/fuel etc, keeping all spends to a minimum, but having small treats along the way to keep us motivated :)

This week ive worked over covering for sickness, and earned £50 overtime :)

I made enough in tuck shop sales to cover my spending money, so what i would have drawn out of our account for my spends this week will now go for savings :j

All the small things we do, overtime, etc really add up, allowing us to keep to our savings goals
