So how is everyone getting their music metadata?

iTunes does, as I told you above. Do you object to logging into the iTunes Store or something? I can't remember if that's a requirement.
I *think* we're talking about the app going on the internet and automatically downloading the metadata, when you rip a CD.
Apparently still works with Windows 10, but the OP refuses to discuss the problems he claims to have experienced.Yeah I did know that and strangely enough it is wrong because I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1 and metadata has been disabled in that too and the link you posted said that Windows 8 was unaffected so now I've upgraded to Windows 10 but I've got all the problems we not going to discuss getting it working so I'm back to the same question what do you do to get music metadata what are you using?

If it no longer works on Windows 10, there is no point in purchasing a new Windows 10 device in the hope of it working.0 -

Someone suggest that https://cdex.mu/ is working for them.0 -
Can't access that CDex link here at work ... is that a link to the CD ripping app? (Last time I tried to install CDex then MBAM flagged it as not being nice ... I use EAC now for any ripping requirements).
If it's a link to a metadata database then ignore the above.0 -

The only thing about which you needed to take care is unticking the box that suggests installation of a Yahoo Toolbar, during the installation of the application. That is likely what MBAM picked up.
Program itself appears fine;

dont need to pay for one at all!
unless you like its features obvs.
theres no one program. its just the server the program drags the info from.
usually theres a setting, and some servers are commonly - CDDB, FREEDB, MP3DB etc.
various servers all over the world.
that's not including the specialist ones for genres etc.0 -
Tried videolan but doesn't support web based metadata. Not apparent in the menus and the forums have never heard of itEveryWhere wrote: »If I ruled the world.......0

I tried the freebie version of dbpoweramp couldn't find automatic metadata on it anywhere didn't like the interface it was rubbish to tiny more of a music player than a music managerI use dbpoweramp (https://www.dbpoweramp.com/) which costs £26 but may be more than you need. Cheapest way to do it - use itunes and then use a free converter to change the files from apple format to whatever format you require.If I ruled the world.......0
