    There's a massive new Aldi distribution centre being built here. I'm expecting our local store's stock to be flawless when it opens. :)

    We don't have Aldi, just lidl, and apart from the weekend super savers the stock level is usually ok on a Sunday

    We had a patch there earlier in the year when stocks were really bad, a problem with their distribution centre apparently. Seems to have been sorted. However I do sometimes need to go to a bigger town to ensure I get such things as the cats preferred food, my local is so small they have very little shelf space and when it comes to the multi variety outers, the popular ones go fast

    I try to visit as soon as it opens at 8am. The super 6 go fast at my local branch, but as I know what I want I'm in and out in less than 10 minutes. By evening there are crumbs left if you are lucky.

    I actively avoid the weekends at Aldi, total havoc.

    I used to use Aldi, but went off them as I had more than a few issues with their fresh stuff going off, even when unopened and before their use by dates.

    The fruit and veg has always been a problem at both Lidl and Aldi but it has improved a bit recently,maybe the 29p veg increased stock rotation ?

    I store all my veg except potatoes in the fridge and Aldi veg lasts just as long as any other. Today I used up leeks and carrots bought 2 weeks ago and broccoli and courgettes bought a week ago. Potatoes bought 3 weeks ago are still fine, kept in the dark of course to prevent greening and sprouting. The Super 6 saves me a lot of money.

    Do a google search for your local aldi/lidl, and it will show you a bar chart of how busy it typically is for each day of the week.

    "Google uses mobile phones' GPS location signals and WiFi to determine where its users are. It can then determine if someone has visited a store, and even which part of the store they headed to. For it to work, you have to have Location History turned on."

    Mine shows the peak times (Lidle, Dalry Rd, Edinburgh) are all Sat/Sun afternoon, and 5-7 weekdays. No surprises there then ... :-)
