When we got there the screen price was 7995, and they would honour the Internet price, which seemed to be the approach on every car in the yard. Advertise cheap online, but when customers arrive those prices aren't available,
I might be missing something but how was the price not available? You say they've honoured the internet price so surely there's nothing amiss there?
Not defending CC btw, just don't know why people complain about things that aren't actually things...0 -
She obviously meant 'wouldn't'. Duh.0

She obviously meant 'wouldn't'. Duh.
Wasn't obvious to me. But I should have remembered that 'would' and 'wouldn't', 'should' and 'shouldn't' and 'could' and 'couldn't' seem to have become interchangeable in the 'that'll do', 'it's obvious, 'you know what I mean' world we seem to live in now when it comes to written English.0 -

It's a typing error, as could easily have been realised from my previous post.
I've just tried typing some of the examples you mention, couldn't shouldn't etc, and my iPad is auto correcting them to could, should etc.0 -

Well, I didn't realise.
Now, I'm not directly having a pop at you in particular here, because this is a much more general frustration for me; but ultimately autocorrect is just a not-very-clever technical advance often used as an excuse for what is, essentially, just laziness.0 -

The lesson learnt is to read over what has been typed before pressing submit.
I type correctly, and don't realise it's changed the words.0 -
You can't libel the dead, so once a company is dead, you can say what you want. If the entity is still alive, one has privilege of justification (that what one published is true) and of fair comment (that the comments were based on fact, made in good faith, published without malice and on a matter of public interest). Libel is a form of written defamation published in a manner which causes them loss in their trade or profession, or causes a reasonable person to think worse of him, her or them.
If Carcraft is in administration, they can suffer no loss in their trade or profession as this has now ceased anyway. A reasonable person cannot think worse of them as the administrators have already published that Carcraft have already suffered from "poor market reputation".
Now, I'm not saying that CarCraft is an outfit with a lot of value in the reputation and goodwill...0 -
Hold on a minute... You're jumping the gun a bit. Just because the administrators are in doesn't necessarily mean the company is "dead" or "ceased". The administrators job is to determine if the company is viable or not, and - if it is - extract maximum value from it by selling the assets. Those assets include the brand, reputation and goodwill.
Now, I'm not saying that CarCraft is an outfit with a lot of value in the reputation and goodwill...
He hasn't jumped the gun on this occasion.
The administrators have closed the business and made the majority of staff redundant with immediate effect due to it being so unviable. The administrators have retained minimal staff to assist selling assets.
The administrators have blamed poor brand reputation for the failure, so the brand and reputation as assets won't be worth a lot.0 -
Whats the score with WBAC now then?0

We buy any car is owned by the two sons of the founder of Carcraft.
Carcraft was a management buy out from them some time ago.
WBAC has now nothing to do with Carcraft.0
