Blame my sister. She bought a car off them.

One tip for a new starter in this field, When you make a customer wait until its dark to sign all the paperwork and give the car a 1001 checks. Try to do the basic ones like make sure the brake lights work and at least half of the other lights work.

Then try not to give customers the log book and service history and mot for another vehicle as well as the one they just bought.

I don't think i know anyone that worked there, but its not the sort of thing you brag about is it.

Some companies deserve to go out of business. It's how the market works. But it is always sad when people lose their jobs because the company they work for goes under. Been there, done that.

Such a shame... Not!
We went to look at a car with Internet price,they refused point blank to sell us that car, but tried selling us every other car in the show room. We didn't fall for it fortunately and never bought a car from them. They have featured on watchdog so many times I'm surprised anyone went near them anyway,

So why did you visit them?
The business model targets a certain social sector, the persons there are simply employees earning a few quid to pay for a roof over their heads child support food etc, I can't see how them losing their jobs is a good thing? The employees go on to spend their money so that block of money is taken out of circulation, how can that be a good thing?

I visited them because I had no experience of them and they were not well known at the time for their tactics.
The Internet price was £5995 for a car where similar models were being sold in the area at £7495. When we got there the screen price was 7995, and they would not honour the Internet price, which seemed to be the approach on every car in the yard. Advertise cheap online, but when customers arrive those prices aren't available,

Respect is something earned and cannot be purchased, just like many here I'm all for saving a few quid where possible and don't adopt an "I'm all right jack" in all aspects of life, there was more I included in the post but deleted it, anyways around here in the Midlands when Rover closed, I only knew a handful of people that actually worked there, but knew may others that were affected by the closure subsequently their livelihoods were affected from the local newsagents to the car parts suppliers, my trade is not in the auto industry but I can see how things can affect me on a personal level, as one easy example, I may like to move house , however if people cannot afford to buy then there is no point me trying to sell.

Have a look at what their own administrators are saying about their demise. Not all businesses or jobs are good ones and when we have shysters like this in any trade, not just the car business, (think about every outbound, non-TPS respecting call-centre as an example) that employees need benefits to make ends meet, good riddance.
