Unless you know that to be a fact no it isn't, it could well be very unhelpful to anyone wanting to know their consumer rights! & protect themselves from rogue traders! There isn't one.
I do hope that helps.
You seem very certain maybe you would like to qualify that assertion?0 -

As I am sure you know, it is very difficult, if not impossible, to prove a negative.
You will need to read all statutes to ascertain the truth. Good luck.0 -

So you don't know but gave misleading advice which could waste everyone's time!
The questions was "do you know" i wasn't asking for negative advice LOL0 -

Yes, you have misunderstood. Posters on here may offer opinions, but provision of legal advice is only available from members of the legal position. As you yourself have pointed out, this costs money, but you say you want "legal facts" so start saving up.0 -
With the attitude you display on here , when most people do try and help, I wonder why anyone would bother to try and help .0

I'll give you positive advice - I charge £325 an hour. Alternatively you could take that chip off your shoulder and thank wealdroam et al for their helpful advice and move on.0 -
Simply not true... on both counts.sufferin_scotnet_customer wrote: »So you don't know but gave misleading advice...
You prove otherwise... I can't be bothered.0 -
I see its a place where people speculate & offer opinion on something they know nothing about! Thereby misleading and offering harmful advice!Posters on here may offer opinions, but provision of legal advice is only available from members of the legal position. As you yourself have pointed out, this costs money, but you say you want "legal facts" so start saving up.
I do agree with you i was simply requesting useful factual advice from people that knew what they were talking about!
I must say your advice appears to contradict the purpose of the website? I'm sure you are yet another private business owner who thinks nothing of exploiting & cheating vulnerable people of course that's just speculation and my own obnoxious opinion! Buts that the point of the website right?
Personally i take offence at comments like "It's not their job to teach you"
I clearly understand the point of the website LOL its exactly why i asked the question on this website called money saving expert!
What's the benefit in asking for worthless unsubstantiated opinion?
again the question i asked was "Hi does anyone know about statute concerning" ?
Anyone now searching for the answer to this question now has to trawl through pages of worthless responses! You clearly have nothing better to do and i find myself with a spare hour on a Sunday afternoon squabbling with you about it.
you clearly were annoyed at my response as i am to foolish money grabbing people that say things like "It's not their job to teach you" & if i wanted to drag it through the courts making lawyers rich this would clearly be a stupid place to ask for advice on how to save time and money!
think before you press the submit button!0 -
