It would indded have been "something stupid"How it Works
By using our online application area your details will be passed straight to our underwriting team. Your requirements and circumstances will be assessed to help match you with the lender that is most suitable for you.
The site itself is awful, the name alone screams [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM], the T&C's are only available "on request", the site has been registered to a "UK Individual"
In fact - I can't see a single positive thing about it.0 -
They are a broker, with 2 teams: applications and customer services. Applications tell you one thing. Customer Services actually tell you what's going on. You are out of pocket £70 and nothing produced.
I applied for a loan on 28/09/2011 for £15,000 debt consolidation, over 7 years, £290 a month repayments with loan solutions . co . uk. At 15.3% APR, I had no problem with any of this if that is what I was getting.
My wages are good (over £25k a year) but as I have changed job, house and bank in the last 6 months, my credit score has plummeted. Due to additional issues, I also have few defaults. I have no CCJs and have never been made, or declared bankrupt.
The loan applied for would have cleared all other debts, I would be able to make the £290 payments without issue, I would have expendable income again. All back to normal. Up until hitting money troubles this year, I was member of Equifax. My credit rating in November 2010 was 947 out of 999. Top 2% of borrowers. I have had good jobs, still have one, and am paid well. Just needed a company that would help out.
Loan Solutions GUARANTEED [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM], that someone would contact me in 5 working days to confirm direct debit setup and transfer of funds into my account. All I needed to do was pay £70 to process the application that I would get back.
Received application, signed and scanned, e-mailed back within the hour. Received confirmation via e-mail of receipt.
Called several times, once to double check receipt of loan application, and the other to ask what the next steps were. Each time, applications team were articulate, courteous, polite, efficient, kept accurate notes and knew exactly what was happening.
Was told someone would contact me no later than COB 04/10/2011. Today 05/10/2011 I received an e-mail referring me to FLM Loans, whose online loan APPLICATION confirmed they lend no more than £5,000 to first time lenders, and need a guarantor as mandatory.
Applications team then say "No idea what has gone wrong, talk to Customer Services. We can't help you anymore."
Customer Services response: "After final credit check, carried out by FLM, they can only offer you £5,000. This credit check is carried out by them, and Loan Solutions cannot do anything about that. As loan application was processed, and referral made, Loan Solutions service had been carried out, and the fee is non-refundable.”
All supervisors are busy and unable to take call. Customer Services have surly attitudes (having to deal with continuous calls from dissatisfied Customers will do this to you) and that’s it.
If you use Loan Solutions or any other company who charge in advance for a loan, you need to be sectioned for being a danger to yourself, and evaluated for poor health. Please, please, please, learn from others mistakes. See a credit crisis charity or debt management agency that are free and impartial. Lots on this site. I ignored them, and fear I will now pay the price!0 -

Shows the true worth of your Credit Score doesn't it?
[TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM] so nothing more to add.

I don't know waht all the fuss is about. I've used Loan Solutions before and had no trouble at all. I called them and within 2 hours someone had called me back saying I had been accepted for a loan in the amount I wanted and that it would be in my bank account the following day. The staff I spoke to were all so helpful and the money was there the following day just like they said. I can completely reccomend them to anyone.
NB. in the interests of clarity and transparency, none of the above actually happenedHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Then you woke up in the real world....unlucky...pay another £69 you might get lucky or NOTIt is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -

I would be able to make the £290 payments without issue,...............
...............Up until hitting money troubles this year,
Can you see the irony here?
Lots of people come on here saying they can easily pay back any loan, if only they could get one only to run into unforeseen problems later.I was member of Equifax. My credit rating in November 2010 was 947 out of 999. Top 2% of borrowers.
Doesn't really mean anything because Equifax don't lend you the money.I applied for a loan on 28/09/2011 for £15,000 debt consolidation, ......
......My wages are good (over £25k a year) but as I have changed job, house and bank in the last 6 months, my credit score has plummeted. Due to additional issues, I also have few defaults. I have no CCJs and have never been made, or declared bankrupt.
If it's any consolation, even if you had a perfect credit score you were never going to get a consolidation loan of £15,000 on a wage of £25,000. If it's for consolidation it suggests you already have £15000 of debts and already exceed the generally accepted limit of 50% of income.0 -

The fact you were asked to pay a fee surely should have rung a few alarm bells0
